Heading for the great escape.
The Captain is going down with the sinking ship that is Epcot.
That's not really a big deal they took down the It's Tough To Be A Bug signs at DCA and put up Melificent signs for this preview.
I say we break out that MJ hologram and shoot the EO Sequel.
An EO sequel?!?!!?!?!!?
He He Ow
That is true...I wouldn't be sad to see EO go though. But one is a building marquee... the other is basically a signpost
Nostalgia is fine when it is one component of the benefits. But when it is the only benefit there is a problem. SE has nostalgia but has also been updated many times since the 80's. The story SE tells is still as relevant today as it was on opening day.I agree with you about Captain EO regarding whether or not it should have come back, but to say that nostalgia doesn't belong in FW? Are there not people who (appropriately so) find nostalgia in Spaceship Earth? What about some of the other attractions in that area?
Agree, I hated Honey I Shrunk the Audience. Sadly, the only reason I want EO to stay open is to avoid another dead spot in Future World. Although, I wouldn't mind a return of Magic Journeys for a while but I suspect I am in a distinct minority on that one. Just don't think that Disney is willing to put in the effort or dollars to make something that would be really worthy of the space. The 3D theater attraction may be going the way of Circlevision. To say that they should shut it down overlooks the fact that MJ had and still has fans even with his checkered past. I always preferred EO to honey I shrunk the audience and on our last trip to Epcot my wife finally saw it and thought it was cool, definitely the height of 80's tech but still cool.
they did that with EOIt needs a new film. How can this not have been in the master plan and budgeted, given how old "Honey I Shrunk" is or would have been at this point? It seems like that would have had to have been replaced by now ...
they did that with EO
