Is BOG still sporting crazy lunch lines?

Hi! We are arriving on June 2nd and want to do lunch at BOG (our DD wouldn't eat anything on the dinner menu. We will talk about my parenting skills later...). Does anyone know if the lunch lines are still crazy long? Thanks so much!

The line for lunch is usually ridiculous. Like all the way across the bridge and then wraps around to the right. I'd recommend getting in line about a half hour before they start serving lunch.

As two adults we will wait. It's one of the things we are really looking forward to trying in July. It's the one ADR we couldn't get less than 180 days out (understandably). But I can see how people with children would not see the point.

This is a serious bummer. I still hope we are able to do it for lunch but I am not going to stand in line that long for lunch.

We were there on Monday and asked about the wait. They quoted us 40 min and this was around 11:30. Now I will say we ate there for lunch last November and it wasn't anything to write home about.

I'm hoping the lines die down a bit by the time we go in May...the crowds are usually pretty sparse, so hopefully that translates to BoG. We're going to stand in line either way though...most of the rides don't even have 25 minute waits, so it's not like we'll be missing out on everything else while we wait.

I seriously doubt it's necessary to line up at park opening. We went MLK weekend which was very busy and got in line for BOG a little after 2 before they closed the line at 2:30 and by 3 were enjoying our meal.

We waited longer in the Guest Relations line. I think people are nuts to get in line so early.

Oh yeah. Plan to reserve as early as possible or get there early (before the lunch crowds). For the rest of the day, it's quite packed.

That's so sad. We want to see the place, but none of us can stand the thought of waiting in line for a lunch restaurant. Oh, well. Thanks for the info everyone!

I posted about this in another thread. I ate here Friday 4/5 and don't recall the line forming before 10am. 9:30 at the earliest. No one was there park opening. However, I do recommend, if you really want to see the place, to go for an early lunch at 10-10:30 because after that, the line does build up. I chose to skip breakfast that day due to the previous night of gorging myself so by the time 10 rolled around, I was hungry and decided to stand in line. it was only a 20-25 minute wait. I think most of the wait came due to people taking pictures and/or not knowing how to work the kiosks. But there are cast members to help and they keep the line movie.

I hope that the novelty wears off for you by the time of your trip. If anything, just take a walk by and see what the lines are like. You'll never know until your there.
