Believe me, I think about that a lot! I *hate* Genie+ so much. And I really hate so many recent changes, including the lack of ME. I do feel like a lot of the "magic" is gone. Mostly I gripe about what Disney has become--I'm just being honest about the cost for us on this trip.

When it comes to cost i totally agree... just was away for Fathers day at a beach town & it cost a small fortune after all was said and done... vacations are not cheap no matter how you twist it... issue we all know what disney use to be etc and when you look at it that was its depressing but price wise as long as you stay at a value/moderate its pretty easy to keep cost in comparison to other trips or at least thats how i see it... my numbers (wallet) dont lie

Only thing I really miss is ME. It wasn't even a time saver as compared to an uber but it signaled the start of the vacation as soon as you got on.
Never used it always rented a car but i totally see this & so many others i know who used ME said the same thing... just another bad decision (arrogant) to get rid of it

The Sunshine Flyer really tries to be fun. It's not the same, but the drivers are costumed and friendly, the buses are themed, and they play silly cartoons. They honk and everyone cheers when you enter the Disney grounds.

Apple made the choice to design a tag that NEEDS a case as an economic driver. Who you buy from is irrelevant… you’re ignoring the design choice.

You already have a charger? As if the capabilities never change? Or that the charger you have, may already be in use?

The ‘you already have a usb charger’ argument is just apple’s excuse… congrats on taking the hook.
I have about 5 Apple chargers that were never removed from the phone box. They're not necessary. They aren't even fast chargers, so whats the point? Get a few multiport fast chargers and you never have one thats 'in use'.

Thank you for doing this I knew there were experts here.

My only other question would be the original where a poster mentioned TAs making more when rebooking, that is incorrect right?

The commission will always be 10% of pretax final total for a package or room only booking at time of travel, regardless of promo or booking timeframe.

If - once promos are released - you're able to "upgrade" your client to a different room type or resort that increases the final package total price while perhaps being a "better value" for the client, you can increase your commission. I know a few of the bigger companies are typically quick to offer "unbelievable value upgrades" when promos release as a way to increase the package total and thus their commission.

Generally, though, promo release day is a chance to wait hours on the phone to decrease your own commissions. Good times.

Apple didn't get out of the charger business - they just stopped including them.
"did you use an apple charger?"
"Yes."

They probably won't even ask that, but they definitely aren't going to make you prove in a court of law that you only used Apple-approved chargers.

Here's the fun part of every company warranty policy. They are the final say... until you go through the huge hassle of going to a gov arbitrator or go through the legal system. Which most don't... so guess what.. you get to be an almost untouchable unilateral decision maker. More worried about bad press than a person suing.

I still don’t get this decision or the elimination of the direct bag service. It made a huge difference and people were willing to be captive on property because of it.

I believe that was through a third party that Disney contracted called Bags Inc. which I believe stopped providing the service, so that one totally isn't on Disney

Though, obviously they could have developed their own program and found some other alternative ... I always thought that was the best part of the ME service and I suspect even if they started charging for it people would love it to come back
