Iron Kingdom?!?

A villain park will NEVER (let me repeat that...NEVER) happen. The audience for it wouldn't be high enough for people to go over there. If the villains were to get anything it would be a new land in the Magic Kingdom, and I can pretty much assure you that won't happen either.

As far as the Persian, that is something that probably won't happen either. I think the MK resort area is pretty much done. They will expand in other parts of the resort before they look in to the MK area for now. Transportation for that area is difficult because they don't function on busses, so I would look for your next deluxe (which isn't coming for many years) to be somewhere near AK again.

I've seen an artist rendering of the old Asian/Thai Hotel plans. Very spiffy. That would work well near the AK, being for the Asian section what the AKL is for Africa. It was originally intended to be on the water in the area currently occupied by the GF. They could either build water around it or just have it land-based.

As for Villains Land, I could see it in D-MGM maybe, but not even in MK. Besides, many rides have a villain in it already - Buzz, Splash, Pirates (sort of), Snow White...

Nope.

But...the whole Villians/Bald Mountain thing? Remember that for future use.

:animwink:
Yes... Iron Kingdom...

With Robots...

Robot CMs... Robot Animals, Not another 5th gate... just Rebuild Tomorrowland

With Robots it would be REALLY Tommorowland...

Example of the inside of a Robot Animal... (Audio Animatronic) a Rhino...
Specially made for Iron Kingdom... Now tell me it's still a bad idea...

rhino.gif

The robot rhino is massive like the living animal. Its leg supports are incredibly sturdy, and each one has three weight-bearing props at the end. Instead of leathery skin, it has studded armor for extra protection.
And it has a horn, which is made incredibly strong sections that match the strength of the hollow, hair-like fibers in the real rhino's horn.
The robot rhino even has a robot tick bird called an oxpecker to clean its armor.

Specifications.

1. Acoustic ears

sm.rh.ear.gif

Acoustic ears are pivotal acoustic receptors on the robot.

2. Flattened Foot

sm.rh.feet.gif

The Rhino's legs end in flattened feet which together bear the animal's great weight.
Each foot has three wide toes, each ending in a broad rounded hoof- the splayed-out toes and hooves spread the rhino's weight over a large area.

3. Fly swatter

sm.rh.flys.gif

The Fly swatter on the robot is the real rhino's tail! Flies and ticks that irritate the rhino can be brushed off with the hair-tipped tail or the large hair-fringed ears. Those out of reach of either of these fly swatters are often removed by helpful tick birds such as oxpeckers.

4. Food grinders

sm.rh.teet.gif

Food grinders are the robots teeth.
Tough grass is ground into an easily digestible pulp by the ridged grinding teeth before being swallowed.

5. Grass cropper

sm.rh.lips.gif

The rhino has a prehensile, or grasping, lip for pulling up and eating vegetation.

6. Oxpecker

sm.rh.oxpe.gif

An oxpecker is a companion bird to a rhino.
It perches on the rhino and eats the insects and ticks.
This cleans the rhino's skin and protects the rhino from the diseases that can be carried by insects.

7. Smell Inlets

sm.rh.nost.gif

Smell Inlets on the robot are nostrils on the real rhino.

8. Spike horn

sm.rh.horn.gif

Although the rhino has few natural enemies, it has non-hairy leathery skin that works like flexible armor to protect it.
Its other defense, with which it can knock over a jeep, is its massive horn.
It looks as though it is made of bone, but is in fact made of special hollow hairs that are stuck together with a type of natural resin-like gum.

Greetz! :D

Highly doubtful. Due to poor soil, the Contemporary's foundation is having problems (as those with more inside information than myself have posted). I doubt the soil across the road is any different.

BIG!! expansion? Not likely... Maybe a new hotel, but thats about it (and, there hasn't even been one announced...)...

Disney can't keep up the parks they have.. why would they want more?

You may be right. The villain themed character meal at GF had a very short life.

WDW's bread and butter is the "traditional family". Before I start a flame war, that statement is simply based on years of observation. Sure, there are plenty of visiting parties of all types and sizes, but it sure seems the vast majority are nuclear families. I don't see a shift happening, and it would be a costly investment if this new park didn't increase overall attendance enough to support itself. Mom, Dad and the kids just aren't going to warm up to an all villain park.

Villains are supporting cast, they can't be the primary draw and stay fully in character. They fit in perfectly as a compliment, they just can't be the "only" thing.

Stories have already surfaced about the land between the Contemporary and the T&TC being unsuitable for a hotel (originally the Venitian, recently the Mediterranean) due to bad soil. In the mid 90`s the Kingdom Suites were proposed be built on Seven Seas shore between the Contemporary and the MK (I guess this is the resort refered to earlier) so it wouldn`t surprise me if the entire area is having problems. If you see any leaks in the aquaduct by the Contemporary shout!

Lets put it this way. to the east of MK is a lake, right next to the lake is a golf course and the area just east of the golf course is not Disney's properity, so this rumor has be one of the worst thought up rumors I have ever read.

I don’t see any real big expansion in the near future. Half of POP remains unfinished because there is no real need for the extra rooms. All the parks with the exception of AK need minor to moderate refurbishment and until attendance picks up there isn’t a need for another park. The only thing I could see Disney doing is building a casino if gambling were legalized in FL, which isn’t happening any time soon.
