What do you prefer?
IPCOT as in the new EPCOT. IPCOT is going to feature many intellectual properties, that will entertain all ages.
EPCOT as in the old EPCOT. EPCOT featured classic rides. Very few intellectual property rides were in it.

I prefer EPCOT because I grew up with it. I remember going to spaceship earth, calling it “the golf ball ride.”
I’d love to chat with everyone about their opinions!

Ipcot because it will last better long-term than the educational aspect ever did.
But that being said, I wouldn't mind if Ipcot also meant original IPs, alongside the well known ones, and not just movie IPS, but I think most of it is going to be movie IPs.

EPCOT was an IP. One with branded logos, theme songs, original mascots and the ability to draw tourists on its own.

A shame no one in charge of the park since the mid-80s really got this or saw its potential for synergy outside of WDW.

EPCOT is Experimental Prototype Cities of Tomorrow, correct? Or did I get that wrong? It's original concept was never met so it became a park with many different countries. I like thematic integrity but hey.. GotG is GotG and Frozen is Frozen. Whatever brings in the $$$ amirite?

I voted neither simply because I believe there's a happy medium. Original EPCOT was boring. I'm sorry, Living with the Land is boring. World of Motion was probably boring. Universe of Energy was insanely boring. But again, there's a happy medium. Bring in some IPs and leave some originals like Spaceship Earth and.... the shell that is Journey Into Imagination although give that a revamp.

I loathe IPCOT and loved EPCOT Center under its original Vision (see its dedication quote). World of Motion, Horizons, Living Seas, Spaceship Earth, etc. all entertained, enriched and inspired me and lots of others my age.

IPCOT is saccharine icing, with very little cake. E.g., Nemo overlay treats everyone like a kindergartner, from the Playskool exterior graphics to the brain-frying repitition of "Where's Nemo?" for the ride's duration. Frozen presents songs and characters from a popular Disney movie - a harbinger of everything to come.

IPCOT will entertain modern Disney fans, but it won't enrich and it won't inspire like EPCOT Center did.

The world is doomed because people exist that do not see the importance of education.
Parents that used to have cranking kids at EPCOT, whining the place is boring are bad parents if they give into the kids.

Universe of Energy, used to learn the where energy ..... Guardians of the Galaxy...... learn nothing.
Sure it is good to have fun but 1/3 of the the land Disney owns can be developed.
The could of put Guardians of the Galaxy anywhere else, and keep up dating the original EPCOT attractions without dumbing them down.

IPCOT really gets under my skin. When I was a kid and went to EPCOT, I love attractions like Spaceship Earth, Living With the Land, Innoventions (remember when it was actually full of cool things), Living Seas, etc. I feel like the bean counters want to make it "more Disney" and by pushing the IP, they're getting the job done.

I wouldn't even complain if the IP was well-implented but it's so off. Nemo is passable but they put Guardians of the Galaxy before WALL-E, a IP that would actually fit thematically. It's like that episode of the Simpsons where the executives keep ruining the character that Homer voices: "EPCOT needs to be louder, angrier and have access to a time machine!"

I vote neither based simply on the fact I'm not sure what IPcot is, yet. We know there will be Guardians of the Galaxy but we don't know what story Disney will tell with that attraction. Ratatouille hasn't opened yet either. Personally I find the Nemo connection with Living Seas to be done well although a change to the Marine Life Institute and minor updates couldn't hurt. Obviously there is a group of people that will only see the changes to Epcot as the devil, I'm waiting to see what we get over the next 5 years.
