Invalid Fastpass Question

For years my girlfriend (now fiancee) and I have been using invalid fastpasses for scrapbooking. After obtaining one fastpass, we would slide the ticket again at the kiosk, and at otehr ride kiosks, knowing that we were getting invalid fastpasses to use later for scrapbooking when we got home. My question is, with the systems get in place, do you think it is going to affect the ability to obtain invalid fastpasses, will the machines still tell you that you are not able to retrieve another fastpass at this time, or will they just not give you anything? Thanks for any thoughts!

They will still give you an invalid fastpass. Gotta clue in the dummies that they can't get a new one yet.

Yeah there's not chance they'll stop doing that. Every so often people try to use the invalid fastpasses becuase they didn't actually bother to look at it (and question why it's not valid).

An answer for you... the system now is much more informative then it used to be. I saw this today on top of a FP machine and took a picture to share-

I am just happy to see that the system is being more informative. If people actually stop to read it (I know, right) they might better learn how to use the FP system.
anyone know of any other improvements the new system offers?

I just see one minor issue with the new "Not a Valid Fastpass" tickets. It says "Your next FASTPASS ticket for this attraction will be available..." This may lead to the impression that it's possible to get a fastpass for a different attraction before the time limit is up. It might lead to some Guest situations.

Well, I think that if they tried a different attraction, they would get the same message about their first FP and when it was good.
Hopefully.

I hope they do something about guests getting to use expired FP. I know there was another thread on this, but I think that is the biggest flaw in the whole system. No way should someone be able to use a FP during EMH at night. RnRC is great, but not worth standing in line for an hour and a half while all these people race past you to use a FP that expired hours ago.

[stepping off my soapbox now]

Let me correct the above post:
FP's are NOT to be accepted during EMH. In fact, the entire FP Return position is dropped as soon as EMH begins. If you saw CM's letting in FP guests after EMH has begun then you saw a CM not doing his/her job.
Now, in my own defense, I worked at only 1 major attraction that used FP and this is how we did it and were trained, so I cannot vouch for if another attraction says it's O.K., though I would find inconsistencies in operations policies hard to believe.

well whoever was working the line didn't get that training or its not the same. Last June during EMH (evening) there were many people still using FP. They would hold the line up and let 15-20 ahead of everyone else while we stood furiously in line. That is my only complaint with the whole thing, if that has been fixed and worked out, then its great. Like I said, it was a year ago, so it might have already been addressed.

I understand that, but I know what I saw. Even had some of the guests admit to picking up expired FP off the ground and using them. It might have been taken care of, but last June it happend.

I guess it depends (and/or things might have trained), but last summer Test Track had a limted number of Fast Passes for EMH that had to be obtained starting at 9 PM and were always gone quick. The fastpasses were discontinued in September and I was only in Florida until early November but I assumed they had the FPs for the busy season.

Actually, can't quite call them the dummies. The dummies are the ones who don't know how to use it at all - i.e. the majority of guests it seems, LOL.

I cannot tell you how many times in the last week I was saved by people and their ignorance of Fastpass. I went up to Buzz Lightyear - 30 minute wait. Look at the fast pass kiosk - the fast passed are for 35 minutes from now. Um, okay...I can stand in a gross smelly line for 30 mins., or go somewhere to comfortably relax for 35 minutes and then return with no line. Hmmm...LOL.

It happened over and over all week to me at the more minor FP attractions (i.e. obviously not Soarin' or Test Track, etc.). Dinosaur is one I did this at for about two hours the other day - I got three rides and in between just relaxed in the AC at Restaurauntosaurus.

People just don't seem to understand how it works and that unlike elsewhere it is free to everyone. I'm glad, though - just leaves more for smarter people like us. :)

expired fast pass

Can they still be used if you are past your time during the same day- for example it says come back 1:00-1:45 and you realize at 4:00 you forgot to use it. What about expired date re-entry passes? Have a few from last month and have the chance to go back w/ a friend. Can we still use these?
