Interesting rumors about marvel in dl & wdw

If that ever happens, Marvel will loose a lot of the "cool factor" that made it appealing to Disney in the first place. The second little boys smell Disney on Wolverine, he stops being cool.

I completely disagree! Little boys don't care about marketing or who owns what, it's all about what they like. The Power Rangers, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones I know tons of little boys who can't wait to see the shows and stood in lines for ever to see these characters and their shows/attractions. It didn't matter that they are now at Disney World.

If Disney was something that pushed little boys away then we wouldn't be dealing with Lightning McQueen and Mater being thrown everywhere along with Phineas and Ferb.

The only people who are going to care that Marvel is now Disney are those stupid little Marvel fan boys who still believe Disney is going to suck the life out of their precious characters. The generation being introduced to Marvel now will never know the Marvel not owned by Disney so it will soon just be superheros and that's that and that's all it ever will be.

Bring on Iron Man Mickey!

I agree completely, while personally I wouldn't care either way if they put Marvel characters into the parks (because I trust Disney wouldn't throw the Hulk into the middle of Fantasyland), I think having Disney behind it can do so much more to expand the target audience. I know a lot of my friends love the Star Wars stuff that goes with Disney, and when I traveled with one of them she essentially spent all of her money on Star Wars/ Disney merch (like the pins with Disney characters dressed as the Star Wars ones). So putting Mickey in an Iron Man costume doesn't hurt.

And personally I think that adding some edge might be what the parks need for the teenage crowd. Sure they didn't get good review for AE and such, I think it was how they went about it that was wrong. AE wasn't even a ride, it was just made to terrify you. Putting in some more coasters or motion rides (like others have mentioned, like the Spiderman at IoA) would be a good move.

NowInc, I'm not going to bother arguing your points. If you really believe any of the things you posted, you're beyond arguing with. I question your grip on reality based on your posts in this thread.

Thus why I pretty much always emphasis the "in my opinion" parts of my post. No need to attack someone if you disagree with them. In fact I will go as far as to say your entire post served no purpose other than to "bash" me. It didn't contribute anything to the topic of this thread, nor did it in any way contain any other vibe than a "I'm better than you, because you are dumb!" sort of attitude. I didn't ask you, or anyone really, to agree with anything I said, and in fact if you notice upon my reply to the individual who DID respond to me, I was nothing but polite and respected their views on things even tho I did not necessarily agree with them..I strongly advise you to learn to do the same.

That being said, I remind you of what mothers all over the world always say:

"If you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all".

They may have been attractions at Disney World. But they are not "Disney" as far as those little boys are concerned. If Star Wars or Indiana Jones had been Disney's Star Wars or Disney's Indiana Jones, they would never have appealed to older kids. Partially because the Disney name would mean the Nazis' faces couldn't have melted off at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark. I t would have been The Rocketeer instead.

If Disney was something that pushed little boys away then we wouldn't be dealing with Lightning McQueen and Mater being thrown everywhere along with Phineas and Ferb.

Different age groups. They can attract the Cars crowd. But they loose boys are 8-10.

They won't know because Disney won't advertise the fact that anything has change. And they won't promote the fact that anything has changed because doing so would lessen the value of the Marvel properties.

My apologies if I offended. I was also stating my opinion.

That was just one example. The "water vortex" effect was out of commission for a VERY long time until potter was open. I mean, no one (park) is perfect, things break...but its for how long they remain unfixed that I was referring to.

The Poseidon water vortex? That was turned off, not broken. It's the most expensive effect in the park.
