Regarding this idea.... for WDW, while the only park to park set up where something could work would be Epcot to DHS, it would be tough to come up with something logical for that. But there are two setups that I think a transport/ride would work well:
1. At DAK, they could do something that functions like the monorail at DLR. Have a train or monorail or other transport that goes between DAK and AKL with animal enclosures along the way. To board at AKL, you'd have to scan a valid park ticket to get into DAK. Would not only add another ride to DAK, but would make more frequent transport between the park and resort which better to sell rooms at AKL and would provide expanded eating options for a day at DAK (similar to how the monorail resorts tend to functions as expanded dining options for MK)
2. Within DHS, have something going between two differently themed Star Wars lands on opposite sides of the park. Say you build a Star Wars land based on Tatooine around the current Star Tours ride. Then, in the future, you build a second Star Wars land (maybe based on Coruscant/Endor/Hoth/something from the new movies/etc) in an opposite corner of the park -- like in the backstage area around RNR. Then you run travelling-in-hyperspace themed ride along the edge of the park to go between the two lands which can be built as part of the development of the second land.
