Interesting rumor at Micechat

Id settle for a drunky town shuttle around WS. Like one of those little trains for kids you see in a shopping mall. That should be within TDOs budget. They can even put a wrap on it that clashes with any type of cohesive theme.

Your comment caused my brain to come alive with whirling transient nodes of thought that eventually cascaded into a cosmic waterfall of invention. Try this on for size. Add a couple of more docks/mooring points around WS lagoon. We have a big non-friendship boat that has wares of the world on it. It goes from dock to dock. It would stay at a location for a while (say an hour) then go another location after giving shoppers warning that they'll either have to leave or go to the new location. So, now we have the beginning of a new afternoon show. At some unknown point in the afternoon, pirate ships would come streaming into WS lagoon and attack the merchant ship every day. Their could be some fire, explosions, gun fire, people falling into things that aren't the lagoon (which I have to assume may have more metal than water in it at this point) and the pirates get run off. Be a nice WS lagoon show for the afternoon....I think the time of the show should change within certain parameters to give it a degree of randomness and to avoid the hours early rail guarding. The only warning would be that after one stop, the shoppers would be told they had to exit the boat.

This would also give people on the newly minted drunky town shuttle something to look at.

Well you know, according to so many people, things fail in Epcot if they are not "kid friendly" enough.

According to whom? I always loved the busses as a "kid". But cars or busses without devoted tracks are somewhat a menace at Epcot. And to be honest, it is far faster to walk than it ever was to take the busses. (But they were fun!)

I would think it would be easier/cheaper to add a station entrance and ticket booth to an existing line then to build a whole new people mover system to connect DCA to TL.
Easier if the block system isn't thrown out of whack and potentially where a station is located. The monorail slides through mostly tight spaces in Disney's California Adventure that would have to be reworked.

I was kidding. Just making a Norway pavilion reference. But yes, they were fun, and it is faster to walk. I prefer @George 's idea anyway.

For the 60th? The celebration starts in May... I find it incredibly hard to believe that they would be able to build anything mentioned in this rumor in that amount of time.
It's going to be a long drawn out celebration with major attractions being announced, so I think they mean "for" the celebration, not "by" the celebration.

See...
You dont shoot yourself in the foot and announce things for the future. It wastes publicity and tells people to wait verse coming now

You would basically undercut yourself. Better thing to do would be to wrap up the 60th and go 'wow, that was great, glad you all loved it, and now for our next carrot... unveil XYZ'

But as someone already linked.. this was a idea by Ride Warrior... and that says it all.
