OK, first off I did not mean Seven seas lagoon, my fault, I meant 20k leagues under the sea.

Second in terms of the HQ moving was that I heard a lot of the top brass and financial people would be venturing east. I understand this seems crazy and I agree, but from what I am hearing it has to do with this whole 1 park movement disney brass are trying to implement. Doesnt sound to exciting as its supposed to take the uniqueness out of each park and kind of making it conforming. Who knows.

third, the Everest thing has to do with the yetti being on two cross sections of the structural support of the ride that hold both the yetti and the mountain itself and apparently there has been no full fix because the only way to get at the damn thing is to take off part of the face of the mountain

fourth, my buddy is one of about 5 lawyers that works with/for imagineering, they are the ones that when imagineers come out with an idea or project they make sure its legally sound and as such he hears of A LOT of whats going to be happening.

lasly, these are not my rumors pulled out of the air these are things I have heard and tried to take time to see if there were some facts behind them. I would respectfully ask that you negative people stop being such huge -bags and perhaps scale it back as they are scaling back fantasy land.

ahh crap... I also forgot to mention a little on one mans dream at MGM err Hollywood studios.

The area will basically stay the same after you enter, his childhood etc, when you get to the doors that have the origional drawing for DL that will be removed and made into an open archway.

In the section of the future where is has the florida project depicted it is going to change to the parks in the future and what to come, im sure fle etc.

I just hope they dont change the video!

Oh and the epcot bankruptcy has to do with that epcot is pretty much 90% operated on sponsorships. In world showcase wdw owns and operated american adventure, norway and one other one.. thats pretty much it.

From how I understand it, even though it is part of wdw it is run independent as is each park for the most part.

with so many sponsorships lost the park was in some dire straights from what I was told.

Well I knew that they were independently managed..but I didn't realize they were independent to the point of just running on sponsorships, I thought they were still somehow linked to parks and resorts as a whole. Thats pretty sad and pathetic that they try to run parks on sponsor ships alone, I can understand here and there but wow TDO is looking cheaper and trashier than ever to me now!!

On 20K lagoon, I thought I read a while ago that the body of water for 20K Lagoon and it's a small world were somehow linked, and that the last refurbishment of it's a small world a few years ago was done in part to drain the lagoon. Has anyone heard something similar?

I got nothing on the other stuff on the list. I would say though that I don't think the original poster is coming here to stir up false hope. This forum can be brutal in that respect, when a newbie comes onto this forum this forum quickly turns into everything I hate about internet forums... things like giant images of bags of salt are unnecessary.

Thanks for the 20,000 Leagues clarification. That should have occurred to me (and no doubt others) what you were referring to. As for Epcot, it frankly doesn't make sense to me, but perhaps this could be a misunderstanding of something else? Perhaps a sponsors bankruptcy? Just guessing, but it makes more sense than an Epcot bankruptcy or even financial issues for the park at all.

Finally, welcome. Not nearly everyone intends to come across as mean, but you do tend to get conditioned to take (often inplausible) rumors from new posters with a huge grain of salt (almost literally, as you've seen). It's certainly nothing personal, so if you have confidence is your sources or information, I say please share the knowledge.

Everyone is free to post wrong or misinformed rumors, but there's two that really got to me for being just idiotic...

#10 WDW imagineers, studying technology of Japan and close to deal to bring the technology to the us parks. Specifically Adventures Winnie the Pooh and how every time you ride it, it will be more interactive and a different ride.

#2 the launching system at epcot for fireworks does not work on an incendiary type system and is patented, which is why they can do illuminations rain or shine if they want to, yet they do not share this tech with the other parks??

The parks do not operate separately. Epcot cannot file for bankruptcy protection. They don't horde technology. Imagineering doesn't need to do research or deals to bring technology from Japan.

THEY MADE IT.

THEY CREATED IT.

Other parks use the pneumatic launch systems. Other parks have used TDL technology. Anyone with any basic Disney knowledge and WDI knows this.
