To get back on topic ...
Pirates uses IR beams as well as the new system in HM for intrusions.
More often that not, if a ride uses pressure mats as a primary intrusion device, there won't be any cameras. HM, Buzz, Nemo, and TSM just to name a few. They also usually don't have a "tower" per-se. The "main" console would be the one just before entering the ride, where all the intrusion and main ride controls are located.
Did you know that Rock 'n' Roller Coaster has a pressure mat? Did you also know that the carpets in the corridor scenes at the Tower of Terror are not?
