i read 15 companies that are in jeopordy(SP?)
it says:
Disney

Disney (DIS) is not immune to the economy. Tourists don't have the money for airfare and hotels. Disney's cable, network TV, and studios may be hurt by plummeting advertising budgets, but getting people to theme parks when gas prices are high and credit is low would require more magic than the Magic Kingdom has to spare.

I know that there are arguments to be made that raising prices is consistent with financial hardship, but I still stick by my guns that Disney would only raise prices if there continues to be demand for its product. I still think that if WDW was truly in danger as a result of fewer guests, then they would lower their prices in order to entice people to come, rather than potentially pushing away even more people by raising prices when people are tightening purse strings already. So come August next year (or anytime until then for that matter), if WDW lowers ticket prices and room prices, or comes up with special deals to achieve the same result, then I may believe that they are struggling to keep the money coming in. But as long as they are raising prices, that looks to me like a healthy company taking advantage of a high demand for their product.

I don't know about the Disney prices being reflective of the company, but what can tell you is that the stock of Walt Disney Company has lost about 25% of its previous value over the last 52 weeks.

I know it doesn't seem like a huge deal, but the sale of the stock can't be a great sign for the company. I would imagine that they will have to eventually justify that to the major stockholders in the company.
