I was with him until he said he'd bring up Discovery Island in his meeting tomorrow. Lol, just picturing that meeting made me laugh.

"Stalled" is the term I've heard. I think there may have been some background chatter with other South American countries (Chile and Argentina), but as of now I don't think anything is certain.

With the martial law recently imposed in Chile I'd hope they have other things on their priorities.

The best insiders say Yeti is generating too strong a force for its own internal structure, i.e., its skeleton. The pistons, or the rods attached to them, are being torqued too much. That's why a revised movement profile that is less strenuous is a possibility... once certain repairs are made. Otherwise, they'd have to put in a brand new Yeti and also conform to tougher safety regulations for giant things above guests' heads that try to take a swipe at them.

But what do I know, I didn't sit in the meeting with Iger when this was being discussed.

I agree in principle. But there is an unwritten “code of insiders” here that clouds all of these spitball sessions. I think you understand that equal treatment/protection doesn’t manifest here. No matter how pro-Disney or anti-Disney nutroll you are.

Seems a bit rude to bash a person that can't even defend theirself (since he's banned). Not that im sticking up for him. While he has definitely done some "unscrupulous" things, at least he holds Disney to the higher standards they once had. Can't say the same for many people here who soil their trousers at the chance to defend the company at all costs.
