So I was in the D-Zone in the Innoventions West building last week and noticed a set of double doors across from the restrooms which I have circled in red below. The doors had a sign saying authorized personnel only. The lights were on in the room so I could see a little bit through the crack between the doors. What I could see was what appeared to be a bulletin board with "United Kingdom" over it and pictures of either the pavilion, or building in the real UK.

Was this an exhibit of some sort that has been closed, or is it something for internal use?

That was in the space for the 25th exhibit. It was also then used as the temp meet and greet area for C-Spot while it was under refurb. It may be used now for training or storage.

It was storage for the Security and tour segways for a while But I'm not sure what's in there at the moment.

The exhibit that was set up for the 25th Anniversary of the Park was great.
Wish that was still there...it was a nice place for Guests to see what Epcot once was.

Sad they removed the Timeline tho earlier this year.....However, Yes most of the displays are still up....

Also it was re-used during the Refurbishment of Epcot Character spot. They sadly covered up many of the signs with a big long backdrop similar to the one that is used for Daisy's M&G Up Front...

Also, I believe that this is the same space that housed the Aladdin's Magic Carpet virtual reality thing many years ago.

Yep it was the former WDI Imagineering Labs where they Introduced DisneyVision...

No way! I would always make it a point to stop by that timeline on all of my more recent trips, great history.

UPDATE!!!!!
It was just confirmed on another site that the time line has been put back up and now extended to 2016 showing the new attractions that were added during the time. Perhaps this is a sign that the small room may be reopened as a 35th Anniversary exhibit?
