My local news here in Jacksonville Florida just ran a teaser about an “Injury at Disney. A woman in critical condition” They failed to mention which park ride etc. and then of course ever ran the story. Does any one know what if anything happened?

Don't you hate that. First hey tease you about something negative at Disney, then they fail to report on their tease. Seriously, I hope everything is relatively ok.

I think after that child's death on Mission Space, the media is going to jump on ANYTHING like this. It was probably some lady that stubbed her toe or something. If it did happen to be something serious, I hope the affected parties are ok.

A quick internet search of all Jacksonville television station websites comes up with no mention of any WDW injury.

The news here in DC ran a similar story. The report is referring to Disneyland and their Matterhorn Bobsleds ride which is closed today after a woman rode and ended up in critical condition. I have no other details. I missed the report - except for the last few sound bites.

It was First Coast News that ran the teaser. I searched their site, CNN, MSN and the Orlando Sentinel and came up empty.

If I lived down there I would be tempted to call and ask what the heck they are doing, running a blurb and not following through. Its typical journalism gone amuck.

I remember reading a stupid lawsuit against Disneyland sued Disney when she was "Traumatized" by the Matterhorn. And she said that she didn't know it was a roller coaster and there was nothing to show that it was. Lady, you can clearly see the bob sleds zooming around the mountain.

I heard on the radio today that a woman on a disneyland roller coaster lost her glass eye. So maybe thats what happened but I can't see her being in critical condition b/c of that.

You know, that lady had a very good point. Come to think of it, I just sued Disney the other day because they gave me no prior warning that there were going to be Disney characters there. I was just moving along Main Street, and there was Mickey!! Traumatized to say the least, there should have been a sign warning me Disney related entertainment would be in a Disney theme park. I mean I'm a tourist, for gosh sake.

Lol.. i guess I have a sick sense of humor but I find that hilarious. I just picture the eye bouncing down along the tracks.. then getting hit by another bobsled which launches it through the air where it bangs off a lampost then drops down where it lands ontop of some kids ice cream cone... which is all about one second before the kid looks down to take a bite of his ice cream cone and see's an evil eyeball looking back up at him! ARGH!!
