I heard on the radio today that a woman on a disneyland roller coaster lost her glass eye. So maybe thats what happened but I can't see her being in critical condition b/c of that.

Maybe the glass eye is in critical condition:D:lol:

Lol.. i guess I have a sick sense of humor but I find that hilarious. I just picture the eye bouncing down along the tracks.. then getting hit by another bobsled which launches it through the air where it bangs off a lampost then drops down where it lands ontop of some kids ice cream cone... which is all about one second before the kid looks down to take a bite of his ice cream cone and see's an evil eyeball looking back up at him! ARGH!!

HAHAHAHA! I seriously cant stop laughing...

Its probably nothing too serious or it would have been reported on the news right away. It was probably just to keep people watching the news and wondering what happened.

Hold everything! I just cought the end of something on the news. It showed the matterhorn bob sleds ride at DL all backed up. All I heard him say was "...the death of a boy at Epcot still remains a mystery" so I guess it must've been someone's physical condition dying like it was on M:S.

I just saw it on the news. They said a 62 year old woman got on Matterhorn at Disneyland. When she got off she was very very ill so they took her to the hospital. The guy on the news said after she got off the crew had to clean and sanitize the ride... hehe :hurl:

The woman said Monday night that she felt sick after the ride. The 62-year-old woman remained hospitalized Tuesday night in critical condition.

"She did go over to guest First Aid and asked if she could lie down," said Maria Sabol of the Anaheim Fire Department. "She did for a while. When nurses determined that her condition was not improving, they did call our medic (who) is at the park."

The woman's doctor said she had high blood pressure and had not taken her medication.

State inspectors were investigating Tuesday morning. Authorities said they were unable to find anything wrong with the ride.

The ride's bobsleds travel about 18 mph through turns on a mountain-like structure.

This story does not make it seem like a ride malfunction. But human error on the guest because she did not take her medication. This was a tease on my local NBC station in Tampabay. The media has only picked up on the story because of it happening at a Disney Park. I wonder how many times the 1st aid stations take care of guests who have not taken his/her daily medications because the excitement of being on vacation ?

lol... If someone would have snagged a picture of that little kid's face, this story would surely end up as part of the HISTA preshow... (You know, that 10-minute-long Kodak advertisement!)

That sums it all up, right there.

Yeah, it really does.

In this case, she ignored the sign, and went on. What an idiot. And once again this is NOT disneys fault yet another person who disregards rules and/or warning signs.

18 Mph? Yikes.

Yeah, I agree. Thats slow. How in the world could she have survived the bus ride then? Because I am SURE that thats not such a smooth ride either.

You know, that lady had a very good point. Come to think of it, I just sued Disney the other day because they gave me no prior warning that there were going to be Disney characters there. I was just moving along Main Street, and there was Mickey!! Traumatized to say the least, there should have been a sign warning me Disney related entertainment would be in a Disney theme park. I mean I'm a tourist, for gosh sake.
My lawsuit is even better - Where ar the warnings in WDW that a visit to the Disney Company Theme Parks will seriously affect the balance on your credit card ?

Is this the same lady who found the finger in her chilli, at Wendy's? jk Hope she will be okay...but maybe it is time for her to cut back on the thrill rides.

The combo of the excitment of a visit to a theme park and being busy probably made her forget her meds, no excuse, but the sign should have reminded her! Hey, I forgot my pill!!! I better not ride this speed demon! Any news about a Disney park "injury" will make the news after M:S. By the way has anyone here actually rode the Matterhorn?
