For those of you who love Smart Watermellon at ICE STATION COOL.....
From the Coke Web site...No mention if it will be served at HKDL?

SMART®

Break Out of the Norm
Colorful, exotic flavors with a fun, non-conforming personality make this soft drink the choice of Chinese kids and teens. The first carbonated drink designed by The Coca-Cola Company specifically for China, Smart satisfies consumer demand for high-quality carbonated soft drinks in this fast-growing market. Product packaging features traditional Chinese icons such as Beijing opera faces, and ads show young people having fun in a fantasy world, drinking "Smart".

The flavors range from the familiar to the more exotic: apple, watermelon, grape, coconut, peach, grapefruit, mandarin orange, apple/strawberry and apple/banana. "Smart" also comes in a ready-to-drink carbonated tea version as well, Ice Lemon Tea.

Carbonated Tea doesn't sound too good.

:hurl:

But the apple DOES sound good. I know that in Germany there's a drink called Lift that is carbonated apple juice. It is the best drink I have ever had. They should bring it to the USA.

Mmmm. Apfelsaftschorle.

When I was in Guatemala, they had a drink called Lift. I don't remember it tasting like apple jucie though. I think this one was more like Sprite.

Oh I love Mezzo Mix. Not as much as lift, though.

If you brought Lift to the states, you would be my hero.

Where in Germany do you live, dolbyman?

Blech, that was the nastiest of all the drinks at the Coke Factory/Museum up in Atlanta... It made my wife actually gag it up in the trash there

Glad to hear that! I own an Italian deli and we sell white or red Italian Bitters soda. It's exactly like Beverly only a different brand. It's actually a pretty good selling item.

Maybe I should put some up for sale on these message boards.

You can also find Lift in some Mexican Groccery stores and burrito coaches...

Im trying to find Barqs Red Cream Soda...I was told by a coke guy that you can only find it in parts of Utah/Nevada due to bottlers who can choose what they want to bottle.

Also looking for....

Nesbitts Soda...Orange and or Cream.....

I miss those 8oz Coke/Barqs Root Beer/Sprite glass bottles by the Wendys/Chik-fil-a/amaco gas station over by little lake brian.

On a thread drift, I really wish they would add to the selections in Ice Station Cool. I like having the ones they have had (mmmm... Mezzo Mix). But, bring on some new flavors! I do understand that people would try more than they do now, but I also think selling bottles of the stuff could be a good way, too. Have one or two Smarts, and put the rest behind the counter! Switch them out every few months. Ah well, maybe that's all just me...
