Anyone have video of similar coaster at work, or are those just concepts of the idea. Have any been even built?
They don't have anything on their site about installations nor am I seeing anything on RCDB for them...

So, I would conclude they haven't installed any yet. One would think they would try to use an installation as a "success story" on their site IF they had one.

The Incredibles attraction is rumored for a spot in either MK's tomorrowland or possibly in MGM somewhere from what I've been told. Both areas are being looked into. I was also told that it will be done if greenlite by end of 2007 or 1st quarter in 2008.

Please put it in the studios....I don't see how Incredibles fit into the TL theme

I think it fits much better in Adventureland. That island setting would be perfect for Adventureland.

From my sources this is NOT the ride system being used. It is in fact a "Robotic Arm" mounted on a track. Testing on the idea and theory of operation continues and is referred to as the "Incredables project"

Oh, ok. Well it's obvious the ride system has been posted here before. Like I mentioned previously, the concept is not WDI, but an outside source, and yes it is the ride system jedimaster referred to and I am not exactly sure the proper spelling either. I am being told that this is the ride system used for Incredibles though and it makes sense with the story.

The ride system I was told Tony B. has been working with for an Incredibles ride sounded MUCH more like a modified Robocoaster than the Cantilevered Coaster.
The Cantilevered Coaster moves well horizontally, and can move up and down on the track, but is not flexible for moving in a full 3 dimensions which is how the ride was described to me.

This ride, if it gets the green light, would be a MUCH better fit for MGM. MGM could certainly use something new anyway. Tomorrowland has some dead space, but I can't even think of a remote way to tie the Incredible into the Tomorrowland theme, or lack there of.

i disagree with the idea that the incredibles couldnt fit in TL. look at all the super technology that Syndrome had, thats completely futuristic. i understand though that the rest of the movie isnt really tomorrow-ish. so they could design a ride where you are are traveling through Syndrome's secret layer looking at all his weapons, and the incredibles bust in to stop him...wherever they put it, you would still go on it.

Why argue over whether it fits in TL or not?? If the Imagneers want to put it there, they will.. And you will still ride it and love it.. and not even think about the land it is in.. geez.

Goth, based on your reasoning--that the Imagineers are going to do what they're going to do and there's no point in arguing about it--this rumors forum shouldn't exist.

And yes, consistency of themes between attractions and the themes of the "lands" and parks IS important. The more the Imagineers neglect this consistency issue the more Disney parks will look like Six Flags parks...Geez!

Just wondering if you would have a problem if the imagineers decided that it would be best to play Main Street USA Music in Adventureland from now on or decided to add a Jungle Book themed attraction to Fantasyland. WDW is all about theming and no where is it more present and subtle then at the MK. Music, plants, light posts, signage, etc. changes between lands. That is what makes Disney so special. Messing around with the theming and adding attractions out of their context takes a little something away. Over time, all these little somethings ad up to something and what results is a completely different theme and atmosphere.

Yes, I would still love an Incredibles ride even if it were in TL, however as good a the attraction may be, I would have to still comment that MGM would be a better fit.

I hardly think the possible addition of an Incredibles attraction in TL is anywhere close to playing MSUSA music in Adv Land. It's really not a stretch for it to fit TL just fine. I say we let WDI worry about it...

With that said... I believe there's a major difference between commenting on location possibilities and complaining before anything even happens.

first off i still think that it would fit better, room wise,in MGM
2nd i prefer the centilevered(sp?) coaster design better than the origional robocoaster idea. i like how you wont be able to see the track or so it says.the possibilities are endless, this ride can (supposedly)do a very wide range of modern day coaster/darkride manouvers(sp again?)if this is true, disney could produce a dark ride to rival universals spiderman (in my eyes one of the best tracked dark rides around).disneys could maybe also be a indoor darkride and a outdoor themed coaster in one, those imagineering folk are clever little cookies.
