Info on Imagination post-show...

When I was at Imagination earlier this month, on the "front desk" of the queue area, beside all the phones, was a piece of Sony equipment.

Could this be an indicator of a potential sponsor...?

Nope. The only things on that desk are phone equipment and a couple of files/books. They have been there for a long time.

Agreed. Last time I was in the post show area, they had taken out most of the Kodak print center (?) and it created a huge open space. It reminded me of a KMart going out of business with empty shelves and random things laying around.

As of this morning the entire area is still there, sans Kodak.

Jeez, I need to remember to look at post dates. I was reading through this thread, pondering where I stood on the matter, only to arrive at this post and realize any potential input I have would be moot by this point.

The "Lite-HTML" version doesn't show post dates. Makes it really fun for those of us keeping up on our phones during lunch hour.

Slightly apropos, I guess this means the EO pre-show is just a generic un-sponsored slideshow? Or a tie in to the current "making memories" celebration?

Besides the live spiel from a CM I don't think there is any mention of Kodak in the preshow prelude since EO has returned. It is just a very short 80s behind the scenes making of with a montage of clips.

There is no reason to try and reason with most people on here. They expect Immediate attention. I mean, I just read that someones system for their company is bigger than Walt Disney World's system. I almost died laughing. These people need a looong break from Disney. I go every year, and I love it no matter what. I preach this all the time, but every guest that whines and conplains on here all year goes to WDW every year, has an amazing time... Then comes back home and thinks "hmm, what did I see wrong? What can I about?". My god! It's a walled off post show!! Because a company pulled out! Get a grip.. If this is affecting your trip, you're a very wound up individual. Lighten up people!!
My sentiments exactly! Do I expect to have a good time at WDW? Sure. So I expect perfection in every visit? I better not or else I'm going to be very dissapointed. If any of us knew what was really involved in running a major theme park/resort, we probably wouldn't have time to be here and vent. I'm leaving for WDW in a few days and I fully intend on having fun in spite of construction walls, attractions closing down and burning tiki birds.

It would be sweet if this ride was re-done yet again but made to look more like some parts from the movie "the cell". That would be totally kid friendly.

Put in a request with Orlando Attractions Mag for a photo and here we go!!!!!!!!

So unless they are redoing and keeping the same logo with the new attraction, I would guess we wont be seeing a big change very soon!

Maybe a JII redo would have Dreamfinder be the founder of the Imagination Insitutie or whatever it's called. It would save some dough on new signage.

So is Kodak still the sponsor.

Nope but apparently no one by the west side didn't get the memo...There are 2 directional signs One by the land and one by the seas that still say it's Presented by Kodak..

I got a chance to try out the new software in the post show last night. It is based on a "Build a Figment" theme. There are a total of 5 areas of Figments body that you can modify, and each area has 6 choices. It starts with a male or female figment, then first area of modification is choosing a head. The second is choosing a body, third is choosing his/her wings, fourth is choosing his/her horns, and last thing is choosing his/her color. After that you can e-mail your self created Figment wherever your heart desires.

Needless to say this is very underwhelming (even for children), and I can only believe that it is a temporary fix. At least I hope so because the pavilion as a whole has degenerated to the an unbelievable point since it first opened. Maybe the pavilion will get a new sponser willing to invest the money to make it shine again, or maybe it will receive the WOL treatment. All in all something needs to happen.
