Info on Imagination post-show...

After reading these posts, Im sort of in the middle about Imagination. We have seen what Disney has done with these type of situations in the recent and its not good. SSE was never completed, so that is now permanent bad show! Neither company clearly cares.

as for Imagination, true Disney should have seen this coming but thats not something they can fix overnight. The whole thing needs gutting from start to end, but no one wants to foot that bill again (they should have rethought that plan back in 98 etc). They have been toying with Imagination ideas for several years but doesnt appear they plan on doing anything about it soon. Hopefully whatever they do will be worth the long wait. It would be nice if Imagination got attention before Energy, but its sounding vice versa now.

Not trying to prove anyone wrong. Just getting the correct information out there because people always want to rip it to shreds before they actually know what the truth is. The reason I made the comment is because people expect Disney to have an immediate back-up of everything in case something is suddenly closed. No one can do that. So for people to call walls up in that area as "bad show" is simply rediculous. "Bad show" would be to take down the walls and putting out-of-order signs on them.

There is no reason to try and reason with most people on here. They expect Immediate attention. I mean, I just read that someones system for their company is bigger than Walt Disney World's system. I almost died laughing. These people need a looong break from Disney. I go every year, and I love it no matter what. I preach this all the time, but every guest that whines and conplains on here all year goes to WDW every year, has an amazing time... Then comes back home and thinks "hmm, what did I see wrong? What can I about?". My god! It's a walled off post show!! Because a company pulled out! Get a grip.. If this is affecting your trip, you're a very wound up individual. Lighten up people!!

It's funny but they remove things a lot faster backstage. About a year ago they removed all the Kodak VIP parking signs and removed access to Kodak VIP lounge for Kodak employees.

The reason the walls are up are just to prevent people from using them, it doesn't mean there will be a replacement anytime soon or at all.It is probably very low on the priority list.

Actually they only had about a months notice. WDI was scrambling to make changes which is why you still see the Kodak name in a few places.

We will have to agree to disagree. Disney knew they were leaving and waited till they left to make arrangements.

Walls are down today around the computers and new software has been installed.

Jeez, I need to remember to look at post dates. I was reading through this thread, pondering where I stood on the matter, only to arrive at this post and realize any potential input I have would be moot by this point.

Good to see that it didn't remained walled off forever. Thanks for the update, raven!

Glad to hear they have been updated, hopefully this software will be better than the last version Kodak supplied, I never once managed to successfully send a photo from that version. The original was more reliable though.

Good. Now I don't feel as bad because I did the exact same thing!

Glad to hear the post show is back in order. Now when can we expect some news on an overall redo for the ride? Will they need to pick up a new sponsor before that happens? And if so, whatever company decides to foot the bill on another GREAT rendition of this ride gets my FULL support. Even if it's LeBron... :lookaroun

When I was at Imagination earlier this month, on the "front desk" of the queue area, beside all the phones, was a piece of Sony equipment.

I can't remember if it has been there before, but having something so clearly marked with a brand name seemed odd to me. I took a couple pictures. It was there for at least a week and a half between Jan 3 and Jan 12.

Could this be an indicator of a potential sponsor, or just something someone left on that desk that no one noticed (because no one ever really goes into Imagination anymore)?

That makes 3 of us (willing to admit it). So glad this area is back up and running. It was depressing all 8 times I got off the ride last trip (my son LOVES that catchy little song...and the skunk smell) when they told you to "explore your imagination" and you literally did this: :brick:

The place is still depressing, ride and post show. It all needs to be gutted already!

Agreed. Last time I was in the post show area, they had taken out most of the Kodak print center (?) and it created a huge open space. It reminded me of a KMart going out of business with empty shelves and random things laying around.

please keep it the way it is

Please keep the complete building/ride the way it is. The restrooms behind it are my. private rooms. No one is ever back there. Truly one of the best in EPCOT. Maybe they can get me heated seats in the cold winter months there. Great place to cool off in July. I wonder if they would place a TV in ther:sohappy:e for me?
