Inferno Barge not working for ROE 5/29

Holy! That's insane! I think that if they place some fireworks launchers on the islands and just shoot some off, and also include some nice lighting effects on the buildins, that would be a good replacement for RoE when it's down for rehab.

Eek! Reading this thread really makes me nervous. RoE is my favorite thing in all of WDW. I haven't seen it in a few weeks, though. The things people are describing, like the timing being off, is really bad.

I know that RoE will be replaced someday, I'm just not looking forward to that all all. I'm still not completely over when they stopped using the really big perimeters at the very end.

I hope they can get everything fixed and looking good again.

Well, I am going to head back to Epcot tonight, and I will let you all know if the stuff is fixed or not.

I am going to run to DAK first, as I heard Dinosaur is back open.

Of....if anyone else is headed to Epcot tonight, just look for a redhead drinking a moosehead in front of Canada...that would be me:)

FYI, the show was slightly better tonight, but the Inferno barge is still not working.

It is possible that the Inferno is currently under rehab. However, for the show to operate, they have to have the inferno barge out there, so it cant be removed completely from the show. Of course its also possible its having technical trouble, although that thing was built to aviation specification. Its really built to last!

Oh, I forgot to add that the torch inside the globe did not light either. :(

Well...at least the music played

1. No inferno
2. No Torch (Fireflower)
3. Fireworks not synchronized
4. Little barges not working...

So...at least the music was spot on! :lookaroun

GE...they bring good things to life...and take it when they leave  jk

Same issues last Tuesday, too!

Saw one of the maint boats go FLYING out there between opening sequence and when the globe starts to move.

They were out there almost the entire set, before the next set of launches...and were able to fix nothing.

Which wasn't all that bad, except for the MASSIVE amount of Saratoga Springs guests they were schmoozing over for a special little after hours get together with special seating!

My guess is, that was the last thing they wanted to see happen when you bring in a large amount of potential customers and then...*burp*...a less-then-average show.
I think all those people were current DVC owners that were having our special Homecoming Event they gave for us. This DVC member was unable to attend.

Sometimes that barge produces so much smoke that even a light wind towards you can ruin your view, and the whole show, this has happened to me twice now, where the smoke just completely covered the area immediately in front of me!

LOL blimey! Its getting worse by the minute. If they are drifting off, sounds like they are in desperate need of a rehab.

I have always thought Illum to be the ultimate in terms of syncronisation, and better in that regard than Wishes. To me Illum is a very clean, clinical execution of pyro, and I have never seen better. Hope they get it fixed ASAP.

Steve, Last night's show (6/4) was near perfect. Only two out of synch moments and those were off by less than 1/10th of a second. Pyro was right on, shells went off without a hitch.

Granted, while the consistancy isnt what it was, it seems like things seem to be getting fixed.

My Parents saw the show on the 3rd and said everything was as perfect as it was when they saw it in 2000! So good news! By the way: Wishes is timed to 1/16 of a sec. I don't honestly know the statistic for ROE but i'm sure it's close to that!

I'm sure Wishes is slightly better timed than Reflections of Earth, just b/c it's newer...by the way, in your profile, it's:

"Do not pull down on the Safety Bar, please; I will lower it for you, and heed this warning: the spirits will materilize only if you remain quitely seated, at all times, with your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside. AND NO FLASH PICTURES, please! We spirits are frightfully sensitive to bright lights!"-The Haunted Mansion
