Indy Speedway photo system speculation

After looking at some resent additions to the speedway I have concluded that they will probably start tacking your photos as you leave the pits.

Let me know what you think

good thing that disney didnt have to waste tons of money on high speed cameras since those carts go about 5 mph. :lol:

huh, i think ill just save the $15 and get my wife, friend or some stranger to take my photo for me over that railing. sorry to be a buzz killer about something new.

One for each lane... very interesting. What photo system though, Haunted Mansion or Splash Mountain? (For those of you who don't know, WDI has been installing cameras on rides all over the place for the upcoming "Destination: Disney" Program. There are cameras installed above the mirrors in the HM to take your pic if you activate it using a hand-held keychain device that sends a signal to the camera to take your picture. It's all digital.) So, anyway, any clue as to what kind of cams these are? Any signs of installing a photo area at the ride exit?

Quite possible. The only thing that seems odd is that they would install them outside the rails where people could put their feet on them (as in the one pic) and children could climb all over them.

That seems to be an odd place to put cameras. It looks like someone can easily tamper with them or block the lens. :wave:

They look more like stanchions for light poles.

the only thing that seems odd to me is that the camera would get a picture of you in the least thrilling ride in wdw? although there was the picture of that clay aiken guy someone took of him in one of the cars. it made it look like he was going about 80 with that wacky hair. maybe hes just gets really excited in slow go karts

These are actually going to be Stitch-in-a-Boxes. You'll be able to purchase a handle from Merchant of Venus then plug it in and -- poof -- up pops a Stitch. I'm looking forward to this. If it's successful, they'll install Genie-in-a-Bottles over at the carpet ride in AdventureLand.

What if there are cars traveling right next to one another at the same speed. How would they keep cars from getting into the cameras shots? Also if there is a person following really close behind someone they are sure to be in the shot also. If those are cameras, they just don't seem to be in the right place.

That would make perfect sense. The boxes are probably covering the electrical wires.

did light post used to be on that cement part? i seem to remember that after reflecting on tomorrowland. just a thought. looks like the cement part has been there awhile.

?? explain a lil more please...where did u get this info from..or is this just a joke?

A very reliable source just told me that they are actually the first of many enhancements to the Indy Speedway. Yes there are 4 boxes, 1 for each lane, but they are not cameras. What they really are a machine gun turret, acid cannon, Ion laser gun, and the remanents of the xs techs transporter beam. They are positioned to get any rider at anytime when leaving the pits. The next enhancement is an AA CM that is hiding up on the bridge that repeatidly tells you not to stop or bump the car ahead of you. I hope this is helpful information.......the Leopard spotted SKIPPY LIVES!!!!! Long live the 20K water fountains (they were left behind so the dirt can get a drink if it fells dry).

The handles will be on sale in the post show gift shop for $5.00, the boxes will rehydrate the handles. And just like the AMAZING SEA MONKEY, you get your own stitch. :drevil:
