Actually, the cast member said that Indy was probably going to close at the end of the month....that's why he said to see it while we could....but I had already seen it, so I didn't bother.

Jim Hill on WDW Indy Ride

Jim Hill wrote an article about this. Search his site for it (www.jimhillmedia.com). Any way, he claims that he saw a "secret" plan one day while backstage at the Studios. He said the plan is to extend the walkway that currently dead-ends, between the Indy Stunt Show and the Indy Gift shop. The walkway would lead to the Indy ride, a carbon copy of what is currently at DL, thus creating a Indiana Jones themed mini-land. He says construction could start within a few years.

Personally, I think this is a great idea. Not to toot my own horn, but I did think this very same idea about extending that walkway to create an Indiana Jones mini-land a few years ago. Seems great minds think alike!

I can't find that article. I'm not sure this is a good idea anyway. An entire land based on one movie? Nah, that won't work out. Besides, they can't have a carbon copy of DL's ride. It has to have a different story line. Because in Tokyo's version of the ride, its the "Temple of the Crystal Skull", and it has some new surprises from DL's ride, which is "Temple of the Forbidden Eye". I think the new attraction should be somthing like "The Temple of the Cursed Crystal" or somthing like that. I think that they should tear down the stunt show because they're already getting another stunt show ( which is somwhat like Indy, and there can't be two stunt shows in one park ) and build the ride in the old Indy stunt show location. Yes, there is somthing wrong with 2 stunt shows in one park, you see, people will get tired of always seeing stunts performed in the park and would want somthing new.

well, actually 3 movies and potentially 4 if the current rumors are true, no different than Star Wars.

That would be Disneyland Paris. It goes backwards I believe. (there were rumours of changing it, but they decided to keep it backwards.)
