Indiana Jones Stunt Show

Just out of curiosity: does anyone enjoy the repeated viewings of the Indiana Jones Stunt show? I am a HUGE Indy fan and I have seen this show a few times (and participated once) and I think they should do away with the show itself.

The Disneyland ride is one of the greatest I've ever been on (think Dinosaur with an Indiana Jones storyline), and I think we deserve one at WDW.

What does everyone else think?

I'm not a fan (at all, to be honest), but I'll let the Indiana Jones fans enjoy it and move on to my favorites. I'd probably prefer the DL ride, though. :wave:

I thing Tigsmom got it right. I've also seen it twice and enjoyed it. But I just don't care to see it again. It never changes. However, I think it needs to stay open for all who haven't seen it.

After being on the ride I've realized they really need it. The show is boring. I've seen it twice wasn't in love with it the first time and couldn't wait for it to end the 2nd time.

I agree. Maybe there is a way to do both? I voted to keep it , but wouldn't cry if it were gone.

It's a nice show to see once in a while, but if they offered to bring in the Indiana Jones Adventure attraction, I would not oppose it at all.

Tear it down and either build a new Indiana Jones (don't use the same layout as Dinosaur) or build Maroon Studios out into the parking lot. I would much rather see Roger Rabbit or something else a little more kid friendly than another "Thrill Ride".

I personally would like the see a "Kingdom Hearts" section.

If they at least changed it up significantly ever year or something...maybe added a few more stunts or have maybe two different choegraphed shows so that it's not ALWAYS the same everytime you go.

Definitely put in the ride...I loved the stunt show 5 years ago...even 10 years ago...now...it just feels way too much like the same old same old.

My vote would go for "See it about every 4 or 5 years. I do like it, but it gets old really fast. BUT it should stay because it is such a great show and most WDW guests are first time visitors or they don't remember what they saw last time they were there."

This is one of those shows that I honestly do not care for anymore and I personally would love to see a new version of the show, but it would probably be best if it stayed in it's current form. Maybe a few new additions here and there, but the basic show should be the same, IMO.

I think sometimes us hardcore fans and CM's sometimes want change quicker than it is really necessary because we go so often. The show still has alot of the great moments from the movies and that is what the average guest wants to see. To me there are plenty of other areas that could use a new addition over this area.

I would not mind seeing both. I think the stunt show could be scaled back a bit, but too many ppl enjoy it to get rid of it...I myself would rather have the ride.

I really like the stunt show but I would not mind if they put in a Indy ride as well(That would be cool).

I love Indiana Jones, but they really need to get rid of the stunt show. I have seen it probably 4 times now, and it really loses something after the second time. They have never even updated the show - it is exactly the same as when MGM first opened. All the stunts are still based on Raiders of the Lost Ark - how long ago did that movie come out? Anyway, I would love to see them put the ride in though - it seems like a good ride.

We see the show on every trip and yes it can grow a bit tiresome but, when debating on whether or not to get rid of it we should stop and remember the first time each of us experienced the show. I was blown away the first time I saw it! The whole stuntman as a tourist thing is great and unexpected. The effects are believable, especially for children, and the show as a whole is informative about the production of movies which fits well into the theme of the park.

We grizzled veterans need to consider the many newbies to the parks when discussing the merits of attractions. The stunt show is a great one for first timers and a good one for everyone else.

It's alright. I have probably seen it 4 or 5 times. It's not something I do every trip it depends on what's going on around the park. I DO like the gift shop though One of these days I'm going to convince my wife that I really do need a fedora! lol

I was one of the ones that said get rid of the show and put the ride in. It truly is a great ride. I agree with everyone else saying the show needs to be updated. After a while of the same old show, it gets really boring, imho. But then again I understand that people that have never seen the show will really like it too.

Put in a combination of the Paris backwards coaster and the DL dark-ride. The stunt-show has run its course.

I would LOVE the Disneyland ride in MGM, but at least they should do is update the show. I mean by now i can almost repeat the show line for line. One day I want to wear a bright pink shirt and sit next to that 'stunt man in the auidence' guy and run up instead of him!
