I thought they were going to use World of Sports for that stuff. With all the facilities they have at Sports, why would they shut down an attraction for that? I know that before Sports that was where it was held, but now, unless it's for capacity I don't understand it. Are there that many people that must see that competition?

I do not know why, but they have done this competition in this theater for years.

Simple answer: Parents and family have to pay to enter DHS to watch. It's a way to increase attendance.

Long answer: Well...actually, just see above.

Hadn't thought of that. No more questions...we have a winner. It also gives the Indiana Jones staff a break.

It has become a HUGE event. They are using every facility at World of Sports, and also the Indy theater at DHS. They also have after hours parties at both MK and DHS.

I made the mistake of staying at the CBR during Cheerleader Week a few years ago. I still tremble in terror at the memory.

We moved because of Cheer once. It was horrid. No resistance from Disney either, took our bags and off to another resort. They were not really bad yet there were so many happy peppie teens that it was infringing on our stay, cheer invaded. It was similar in the parks, just too many big groups of energized teens.

Still better than our one and only experience with Pop Warner Football. Now that was ugly.

Was there last year with the cheerleaders all over WDW.....I still think that they were worse behaved than the Brazilian tour groups.

You will be hard pressed to find a pair of boxer shorts for sale on property over this weekend....

Thought it was a joke at first... but I guess teenage girls gotta have 'em.
