Increasing D23 membership with park perks?

At TDS we average 2.2 d23 mebership sales a month. I am not a member because they don't offer enough for the annual fee. If they started to offer some in park perks would more people join and if you haven't joined would you?

The perks could be a # of things.

1. Access to a special D23 lounge in EC. The lounge could be for members only.

2. Priority seating for Fantasmic

3. Early or late access to the parks

If they added things like you mentioned, and even a bit more, I would have never had a qualm with this, at ALL. :)

I would probably join, too.

Those sale numbers are pretty sad, though.

Yes we sell a lot of the magazines just not may member ships.

They could have D23 week ends where members get like 10- 25% off on tickets or hotels.

I figured. The Mag isn't bad. It's just worth that whole price tag.

They could do a LOT with D23 and what you get from it. :) :lookaroun

This could easily be done and be low cost.

2. Priority seating for Fantasmic

Possibly; but I wouldn't expect it to be any better than the Fantasmic! dinner package...

3. Early or late access to the parks

I believe the cost for this would be prohibitive.

I would join in a heartbeat if there was something we could use at any time we visit. Special discounts on reservations, park merchandise beyond the AP discount, special meet and greets, etc.

Absolutely.

The only reason we didn't join immediately is because the cost did not seem justified by what was being offered.

In our opinion, of course. :animwink:

Epcot would be the easiest because all of the FW pavilions have a lounge and so does Norway and America.

I could see this possibly happening. They might give Mickey a D23 overlay and have the meet n greet for 2-3 hours.

And they could even take advantage of such an occasion to bring out rare characters, including ones that only fans may recognize.

If they did that, I'd really consider attending myself.

I bought the membership and have been quite satisfied with the "perks" as is, but certainly wouldn't object to more. :D

All along we just wanted the $75 to go towards Something. (and admit it is a $75 subscription for 4 magazines a year)
So far the $75 gets you nothing. Every D23 event has come with another fee or was limited to a very small group in one place at one time.

I wanted to join but It was not worth it IMHO. The mag is ok and I am never going to fly to Cali to get into one of the behind the scenes studio events.

As I understood it, the Expo was cheaper for members than non-members.
