I’m in a mad dash to find a room.. if anyone could pleasssseeee let me know if any DVC units are available, well you may just save my life . I would greatly appreciate it!!
Dates are - 11/16-11/18. Or 11/17-11/19.
Thanks In Advance!!!
This isn't a mad dash... You've had plenty of time to find this. You were asking for advice on this month's back. DVC rooms are slim to none. There may be something on the confirmed reservations of any of the DVC sites, but more than likely not.
ETA: Just checked the big 3 DVC rental sites. Some have confirmed reservations that include the dates you're looking for (aka 18th-24th), but dedicated reservations are not able to be broken down. You may want to look on those sites though for people who have points that need to be used. You're not a newb on here, you know that availability for this time of year is gone.
"A lack of planning on your part, does not constitute an emergency on mine."
No actually I wasn’t planning on these dates.
My dates were over a week later, which were cancelled after Irma and replaced with KW. Sometimes life happens and things have to change, even vacation dates. If that never happens to you.. then congrats.
Sounds like you still had time. As I provided, the big 3 in DVC rentals have nothing. You also know things are severely limited if non-existent.
I’ve been looking for the past week.. which is the amount of time I had to look.. I’ve also been calling everyday checking for cancellations.
There are 2 rooms I think, in the high 500s on Disney’s site. We won’t even arrive until 8pm on night one.. and need to leave Disney at 5am after the second night. I can justify those prices for longer trips, not for less than a day and a half.
How was fantasy fest - are the keys recovering? My dates were over a week later, which were cancelled after Irma and replaced with KW.
I just checked the member website, there is nothing for a studio.
How was fantasy fest - are the keys recovering?
Thanks. I guess I am SOL.Bupkiss again.
Thanks. I guess I am SOL.
You wouldn't consider an off-site stay this one time?
Long story short- We’re cruising from Miami..flights for my new dates are over $500 pp + baggage...hotels are $300+++ with added fees.. then add in entertainment and SoFla overpriced restaurants.
My Disney AP expires in December.
Flying into MCO on Frontier would save $200 pp on flights... entertainment would be covered at Disney.. and we could use Magical Express to the resort..get a rental car the night before check out. I figured if I’m spending X amount of dollars anyway, why not get the most bang for my buck.
Sounds like you might not have a choice. You could try looking at the hotels around Disney Springs. At least then you could still get to the entertainment.
So do you have nothing booked yet, besides the cruise itself? I know you're looking forward to this, but if you're having this much trouble, has the thought of cancelling the whole thing crossed your mind? (Yes, that was a serious question).
I have a fully refundable room booked at the W in Ft Lauderdale. I had no desire to a Ft Lauderdale trip this year, so obviously not thrilled with paying for it. We typically stay in Boca or Palm Beach.. but our normal hotels are completely outrageously priced during those dates.
Honestly the airfare is what’s bothering me the most. It seems crazy to pay over $1,000 for 2 people to/from Ft. Lauderdale.
Just to give and example- my original flights were half that.
I won’t cancel the cruise.. I’ll do the stupid Ft Laud trip if need be.. just hoped to do Disney instead now that we can’t do KW... ESPECIALLY when I cancelled Disney for KW (although the following week).
