In room refrigerators-value resorts

I understand that in room refrigerators are not standard at Disney value resorts. Does anyone know what is the daily charge is for one if you request it?

But I believe the free medical refrigerators are even smaller than the usual dorm-style refrigerators you'd get if you paid extra? Or am I wrong?

Nor am I, but I do remember others making that claim on similar threads. IIRC, what people wrote is that these refrigerators are big enough for insulin and maybe a few cans of cola, but they're kept small on purpose so people won't make the claim that they need a fridge for medical purposes only to use it for food instead. But again, I'm going by memory.

I can't believe I actually KNOW an answer!! The fridge 'for medicine' is the same college dorm fridge you would pay The $10+ for. My poor daughter was on liquid amoxycillian the last 2 times we went, and we had to get a fridge both times. They told me at check in that it would be no charge both times, and both times they charged me for it. I had to go to the desk at check out, bring her medicine bottle, and ask them to take the charge off, which they did!

We've had it go both ways with the medical fridge...some times its been the same little square dorm style fridge, but we have also received an even smaller fridge that wouldn't hold a 6 pack. We haven't been charged any time but I have always shown the meds at checkin just to be safe (and save myself a trip).

I made a call and found the answer. As usual it comes down to availability at the resorts. If you ask for a fridge for medical reasons they will give you the smaller medical fridge if it is available. As you might expect most resorts do not have many of the medical fridges. If a medical fridge is not available they will give you a regular one.

I stayed there a couple of times and just requested one. They tell you its 10 bucks, but if you get an awesome cast member they usually just give you one w/o charge. I cant say they would give it to you, but if you act surprised and disappointed you will probably have one. I'm just saying...

Buy one at Walmart if you can for $54, give away before you leave...
if we drive we bring ours and they don't say anything
