In other news, Churros no longer available at AK

I would think so. I can see people feeding them to the animals. And before we know it the animals would be overweight and need scooters too.

It was taken off the menu as of this past Wednesday. I had a rather upset wifey because of it.

Also, the CMs at Columbia Harbor House informed us that they are getting rid of the Seafood Macaroni as of this week as well. We didn't check back to confirm this but the CMs said they were told in pre-shift meetings on Monday that Tuesday would be its last day.
wow, they are again simplifying the menus to cut costs again?

Dropping menu items, reducing hours, closing attractions...great time to be a fan of WDW. :banghead:

Well until we know what the replacement menu items are we cant really say they are being dropped. They might be replacing churros with donuts and so on.

Was never wild about churros myself, so no great loss for me. However, agree people need to stop feeding garbage to the birds. Getting tired of being harassed by an ibis who wants to eat my fried ice... and drink my brew.

Just posted something similar on another thread. Trying to keep supporting WDW and telling new visitors how great it is yet all they read and hear about are cuts from everything, even menu items...it gets increasingly tough to justify everything and convince potential new visitors that Disney aren't just greedy and revenue obsessed.

don't forget you missed the character cuts off your list too..

I doubt churros are a budget cut. They cost nothing to make.

they cost CMs to make and to sell.

Those kiosks will still be open selling something. It hasn't been reported that whole kiosks have closed, in fact they were all recently repainted and renamed on Discovery Island. I really can't see this being cost cutting just menu changes. We just need someone to visit the park and find out what the new menus are :)

Of course if it is found the kiosks have closed or the menu significantly reduced (like 2 items instead of 5) then I am proved wrong :)

I agree with you on that, it was more of a general comment that first timers just read of things bring cut or removed :)

Can understand if they aren't big sellers then just get rid, it just comes at a time of lots of other things being cut.
