Yep, MK got the cheaper looking white tents when they reconfigured security for the entire MK area. It is nice that it's not right at the park entrance anymore though.

I was actually referring to the news that TSA May end scanning at regional airports.

It’s been 15 years...Americans get bored with things and the “job creators” always complain about the manadatory things that Create jobs. It was only a matter of time.

I think metal detectors and mickey cops with flashlights are totally pointless except for the most effective enforcement tactic: visual deterrence. Less likely to try if it looks like you’re gonna get caught.

But since people can 3D print functioning weapons from plastic...what Disney does is completely obsolete except for peace of mind.

Still confused. What happened to the permanent structures that were built at the entrance to each park? They were painted to match the entrances and were definitely not temporary.

Those structures are not adequate for current security procedures. This is why they don’t even use the ones at Magic Kingdom currently.

No. Guests from the parking lot are screened at the TTC before boarding the monorails or ferry boats.

How about a moving sidewalk from the bus drop off/pick up? It will be a bit of a walk to the DHS from the new location.

I've never cared for the "S" curve of the bus sidewalks at DHS. I want to be in the parks but this "S" curve is making that longer than it needs to be. I'm not kidding. I've actually thought this.

It's sort of like when you get on the Monorail, Ferry, or Tram. As your approach you're thinking, "Come on, Monorail, just stay there a little longer so I don't have to wait...," and then right after you're on all you're thinking is, "LET'S GO! LET'S GO! LET'S GO! I don't want to sit here all day!!!" It's the "wait for me but screw everyone else" - attitude. I think it every time I approach these and then chuckle to myself.

That curve is especially annoying when you’re walking in from the parking lots, especially now that more parking is on the opposite side. They don’t seem to let you use the narrow walkway anymore, so I’m hoping they open up that old bus stop area and make it easier to get to the entrance. You’re right, it shouldn’t be a maze.

Disney will jump on that bandwagon 10 years too late.

If they were serious about security they'd actually cut the bag searching and invest serious money into this.

I'm sure Tokyo or Paris might be the first to use that.
