Hi....I recently bought an old video game at a store that is called Impossible Golf. I hope this doesn't count as spam as it is Disney, related, at least in my eyes and wanted to see what you all thought. Impossible golf is a golf game where they design holes around major landmarks, like the Pyramids, NYC skyline, or Grand Canyon. I bought it super cheap at an flea market, and was hopeful one of the 70 so holes might be Disney. Sadly nothing in Florida resembled it....BUT they have two holes for hollywood, one is the sign, the other involves the Chinese Theatre........and I think....for whatever reason they used pics of MGM for it, and added a few Hollywood pics like the Kodak Theatre, but I'm pretty sure some of it is MGM.....here are some screen grabs for you guys to decide :)

Those are all the pics I took, but I think it's MGM. The Chinese Theatre has a sign that looks exactly like the Great Movie Ride's sign, and though I know it is supposed to look identical, what's up with the ticket booths?

Why would there be Ticket booths like that in Hollywood. Anyways.....was just curious what you all thought, and really hope this doesn't count as spam :(

Cool. Thanks for sharing that. It does look like they took MGM pieces and moved them around.

Thanks.....there is also the Hollywood Brown Derby in the golf course, but not knowing enough what the original looked like, I thought I'd leave that part out when I was taking the screengrabs, but it did look very MGM as well.

There are however real Hollywood points too, like the Kodak theatre, and a Hard Rock Cafe that is in that area. Maybe they just thought MGMs were more pristine looking or something, I don't know.....but it is supposed to be a Hollywood course.

The game is actually pretty good, involves landmarks all around the world and all, and the courses are pretty challenging, not Tiger Woods level golf game, but fun enough, especially with the sights

well it's an old game.....I actually like the phot like graphics, and the palm trees not being straight is because the images are compressed, in the game, they aren't like that....this was more to just show everyone

Errr...not only is it the MGM ticket windows, but isn't that the Crossroads of the World thingy peeking out from behind it? Not just once, but twice in the bottom picture!

It maybe, there is a Crossroads of the World in Hollywood, but the one pictured in the image that I think was put side by side looks to have Mickey or something up on top of the ball, which I don't think the Hollywood one has anything atop it.

Thats defiantly is MGM, the real one doesn't have the same signage or the hut on the right where the line starts and the picture of the ticket booths is cool because they looped it by putting a phony palm tree in the middle.
BTW, the game says on the title page that it is from 2004, so its not that old.

That is MGM for sure lol. I can't believe they thought they could fool people into thinking it was Hollywood's. With the ticket booths & I also almost clearly read "Great Movie Ride" on the sign in the last pic this game is going to be in big trouble with Disney.

Ohhhh..darn...I didn't want anyone to get into trouble. I understand why they shouldn't of used it, and don't really get why they used MGM....but I actually find the sights and all fun....it's odd though as they use the Empire State Building in a scene...the Grand Ole Opry in one, and a Hard Rock Cafe? Wonder how they used those and not get in trouble either....oh well...I think it's a fun game. ;)
