I understand that when a post is reported that you have to use judgement to determine if the post goes against the rules of conduct, however in this case It is quite clear that the post I am referring to is laced with rudeness and insult. I reported this post only to have NOONE answer me back as to why they will not remove the post that I and others find offensive. I took the time to report a problem on your boards, yet I still have not received a reply and an explaination as to why you will not remove the post I reported. Why?

There are 27,000 members on this forum, and there can be a high number of reported posts in a day. Do you think I have time to both check out the thread being reported, and to then also provide an individual reply to the person who reported the post explaining why, or why not any action was taken?

I am sorry that the administration of this board doesnt meet you standards. I suggest you find another forum to visit.

Why not just ignore it and move on? There are MANY other topics to discuss.

I find it amazing that out of your 12 posts, only 3 of them are relevant to WDW, and the remainder are concerned with demanding answers to your reported post. Maybe if you used the forum for what its for, discussing WDW, you would find it more enjoyable.

I wouldnt have to post here if someone would have acknowledged my report by email...
All I asked for is a reason why you have decided that the reported post is NOT against the rules of conduct on these boards? I have not received a direct answer from anyone through email on on this thread. The only advice dispensed is "look the other way" and "if you dont like it leave." Sounds like you've extended your power trip WDW.

How many times do I need to tell you this before it sinks in?

1. Administrators do not reply to members who report posts, due to the sheer number involved.

2. All reported posts are looked at, and action taken where needed.

3. The action taken may be visible to other members, or it may be conducted in private.

4. In some cases, following a review of the thread reported, no action is taken.

5. Moderation will not be changed by someone repeatedly asking for it to be done.

6. If a member doesnt like the moderation system here, it would be better for all parties if that member posts elsewhere.

I have reported many threads--some were removed, some were not. I never received an e-mail response. Didn't need to.

This is wdwmagic's website. If you come here, you abide by his rules. It's not a power trip he is on, it's the way he chooses and competently runs his site.

As a mod, I have far less areas to keep an eye on than the Administrator..and even I dont answer any complaints. Actions are taken...thats all thats important

On average I recieve 3 reported posts per day. Obviously, Steve recieves these as well. As soon as I am able, I check them out and discuss with Steve what action should be taken

No. You're not a weird smoker. You are addicted to nicotine just like the rest. A pack a week is an addition. You are a drug addict.

In reality, there is no such thing as a "considerate" smoker. A person that smokes tobacco stinks!

Smoke gets in their hair, clothes, lungs and anything in which they come in contact. They are just like the cartoon character "Pigpen". They are happy to be smoky, slovenly misfits and spread their nasty odor without any shame. They often do this out of ignorance. Their own olfactory ability is so severely impaired that they can't smell their own stink! They think they are normal when, in fact, they are rude interlopers on the rest of society.

My report is obviously not without merit.

I was considering buying a membership here, however after the response or lack of I have recieved I don't feel it would be a good investment. I will call WDWmagic direct, maybe they can give me some answers.

No..HE personally recieves 3 reports a day..in HIS section..not the entire forum. So add those 3 to the MANY OTHERS that are reported throughout the day..which could be on a "bad day" dozens of reports. The admin gets all the posts from all the sections sent to him.

Action is taken whenever deemed necessary. Your views of what action to be taken and the views of the admin/moderator are most likley different. This forum has been up for QUITE a long time and has followed the same "disiplinary action" guidelines with must success. So in my eyes, the appropriate action WAS taken..which in this case..was none. You could end up creating a bigger problem with excessive policing.

OK, I think we have gone far enough with this.

You have two choices:

1. Accept the decision of the moderators and cease attempting to have threads removed that you do not agree with.

2. Continue on the path you are on, and I will permanently remove you from the site.

Well, I am shocked. The head honcho has time to rebut a report with merit on this thread, but no time to offer up an explaination! The rude remarks and the hurried, obnoxious replies by some of your members will eventually catch up to you. There are plenty other more reputable sites that offer the same info as this site. I will offer my insight about WDW magic on other discussion boards, my advice being "Don't waste a penny on WDW Magic".

Im sure that after ANOTHER 5 years (since this forum has been around longer than that) things wont "catch up" to him..since this site and forum are run QUITE admirably (given its size)...with of course..the few exceptions such as yourself.
