Trip Report I'm Tagging Along ~ LIVE! *COMPLETED*

Almost everybody has one ~ a friend or relative who doesn't think twice about inviting his/her self along with whatever you have planned.

I never thought I'd be that person.

Fortunately, I have a very understanding family who is actually excited about my joining them at WDW. < Phew! >

It's been a year since my last live trip report, so I hope I can do @JenniferS and her fans proud!

Tuesday, con't

I'm thinking I should change the title of this TR to "Live-ish." @JenniferS did a much better job of staying in real time!

Well back to this morning. After Tink photobombed our picture, we walked over to The Plaza to check in for our lunch ADR. Mom and Dad sat down at one of the tables across from the restaurant and I joined them after receiving our pager.

We got to watch the Move it! Shake it! Vamos! (or whatever it's called) parade.
image.jpeg

@figmentfan423 and @JenniferS, some ducks came to watch with us!

Can I tell you how happy I am to see that The Plaza has a real menu again ~ no longer a flimsy paper computer printout? (Although I am still unhappy about the substantially increased prices.)

Although he wasn't our server, Nour recognized me again and came over to say hello. My parents were taken a little aback by this. :D

But they still smiled real pretty for the camera.

We ordered two cheesesteaks with fries and shared them. And we still left a big piece uneaten. (Well, we were saving room for dessert! ;))

image.jpeg

(You know, I am too tired to edit this photo to the right direction. Deal with it. :joyfull:)

As we began eating, our meal was interrupted by none other than Christopher George Weaver himself ~ Mayor of Main Street! He was looking for a Junior Mayor for the day.

image.jpeg

image.jpeg

And he found one!
image.jpeg

What is funny is that I'm not sure this child would have been chosen had the Mayor showed up ten minutes earlier when his little sister was having a full-blown temper tantrum, with ear-piercing screams. Christopher George would not have even entered the restaurant, she was that loud!

I could say something snarky about poor parenting but I won't.;)

Dessert time!
Dad had the non-fat soft serve. He did not expect the ears!
image.jpeg

Mom had a hot fudge sundae.
image.jpeg

Of course I'm sure you'll be shocked at what I had.
image.jpeg

But the real shocker is I didn't finish it. :jawdrop: The shake was way too thin and runny for my taste, despite having requested "as thick as you can make it." Guess I didn't need the calories anyway!

My folks LOVE Splash Mountain ~ the theming, the details, the animatronics, the little hills ~ and they always forget just how big that final drop is! And how wet you get!

Mom got sprayed in her eyes (despite wearing her glasses) and couldn't see for a few moments. Don't worry, she's fine!

I had to expose my parents to the joys of the MPB (moving park bench, otherwise known as the train.) Believe it or not, they never think to ride it!

image.jpeg

I purposefully did not take any pictures of the BTMRR refurbishment work when we passed it. No need for more sadness!

Here we are at the Fantasyland station.

Uh-oh

We disembarked the train and headed for the bus depot. Dad really needed a nap and I offered return to POP with him. Mom was going to meet TEAML at the Studios.

Since we haven't seen much of TEAML today, I thought I'd share some of their Photopass pics from yesterday.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

I prefer a thinner shake. I request "not too thick; more milk, more frothy".

Looks perfect to me! (Except for the cherry. I don't do cherries.)

It rained on our bus ride back to POP, and it was still raining when I walked to my room. I pondered napping, but I used the time to update my posts for you good people. And it's probably just as well I did not attempt a nap, as a maintenance worker arrived to replace the battery and re-code something in my room door lock.

I met dad around 4 p.m. and we drove to the Studios. The rain had stopped. He tried three times to make Mickey's head turn green at the admission turnstile, so the cast member ended up taking his picture and resetting the finger scan.

Shortly after this picture was taken I saw @Tony the Tigger and Brian walking towards us. You already saw the reunion shot. ;)

I called my brother and he said they were taking a rest at Sunset Ranch Market. When dad and I arrived, mom looked like this:

My bro really wanted to ride Tower of Terror and I volunteered to go with him since none of the others could. We used a freebie FP they had been given earlier in the day from something else.

We tried to be dramatic. I think the lady in the front row deserves the Oscar. (Which lady? You decide.)

The theming was top-notch. Halloween tunes (Monster Mash, Thriller, Frankenstein, etc.) played in the background while Minnie, Mickey, Daisy, Donald and Goofy went from table to table in their costumes. And each item on the buffet was marked with a clever title.

The food was yummy. Not at all "Hollywood and Vile" as I've seen it called on these boards.
