Trip Report I'm Tagging Along ~ LIVE! *COMPLETED*

Almost everybody has one ~ a friend or relative who doesn't think twice about inviting his/her self along with whatever you have planned.

I never thought I'd be that person.

Fortunately, I have a very understanding family who is actually excited about my joining them at WDW. < Phew! >

It's been a year since my last live trip report, so I hope I can do @JenniferS and her fans proud!

The park was not officially open yet and everyone was gathered on Discovery Island, in front of the Tree of Life.

I was not fast enough with my camera (I wish I had been!) because suddenly several flocks of beautiful toucans flew in a giant circle over our heads. It was breathtaking. They landed on a post (pictured below) and then guests were allowed to head for the attractions.

I finally caught up, felt like I was actually running through the parks trying to find you.
Kids are so adorable. Had to laugh I almost bought that same TMNT tee shirt the 2 yr old has and I'm 36.

Thanks for making my lunch breaks this week so enjoyable.

Those toucans are actually macaws and the last time we saw them there were six different varieties in the group. It is an awesome sight to see them flying around then landing on their designated perch. Majestic.

I knew toucans was wrong when I typed it but was having a senior moment and could not come up with macaws. Thanks for coming to the rescue!

Time to see some of those animals that M loves!

image.jpeg

My little buddy M sat huddled next to me the entire safari....therefore I have zero pictures. But you all know what lives on Kilimanjaro. And I had much more fun being "in the moment" with my precious niece.

But I will let M tell you what we saw (think high pitched excitable 4 year old voice) ~
Simba
Nala
Pumba
Baby ellyphont
Flamingos!!
Doggies
Zebras
Hippos
Funny birds (ostrich)
Cheetahs, my favorite of ALL the animals!!

It was the best safari ride I've had in a long time.

AK is our "red-headed stepchild" park as well. We like it, it's just not first priority (or 2nd, 3rd...) so we tend to get to it last which means often skipping it on short trips.

I always manage to get ill whenever I'm at AK (no, not the angry kind of ill - a little food issue). So may I join you as well on the RHSC Park?
