I am 3 months pregnant and this mama is hungry! My family and I are going to DW next month and I plan on gettin down on some grub! Since I can't ride any rides... I may as well do something that makes me happy, right? haha
I heard there is a new place to eat called Yak and Yeti, I'm wondering...is it any good? What's your favorite place to eat @ any of the parks or resorts?? Suggestions?

thanks!

I was not at all pleased with Yak and Yeti. The food was fair, kind of on par with mall food court Chinese food, but the price was simply insane even for Disney.

Some places I would reccomend

Breakfast
Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness lodge.
Kona Cafe at the Polynesian
Boatwright's at Port Orleans Riverside
Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge

Lunch or Dinner
50's Prime Time at Disney Hollywood studios
Le Cellier in Canada (Epcot)
The Garden Grill in the Land (Epcot)
The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom
Flame Tree BBQ in Animal Kingdom
Rose and Crown in England (Epcot)
Trails End buffet at Ft Wilderness
Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge

Extravagant big $$$ dining.
The California Grill at the Contemporary
Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Snacks and what not
Dole Whip at Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom
Figaro Fries at Pinocchio Village Haus in Magic Kingdom
Strawberry Swirl at Enchanted Grove in Magic Kingdom
School Bread at Kringla Bakeri og Cafein in Norway (Epcot)
Egg Rolls at Lotus Blossom Cafe in China (Epcot)

I think Master Yoda did good job covering the food issue, but may I ask why you can't go on any of the rides? Many women have gone to WDW pregnant and were able to enjoy the rides as well as the shows, parades and tours. There are quite a few threads about going to WDW during various phases of pregnancy and a quick search will bring them up.

Of course you need to double check with your doctor, but unless you are having complications you should be able to go on quite a few of the rides, skipping the big thrill rides of course. If no rides of any sort is indeed the case there is so much else to do beside just eating in their restaurants(which is a good way to spend time anyway ;) ), use your imagination and look at the world with a different slant.

In my opinion, the Yeech and Yucky was a very big disappointment. Takeout food from there is OK and about a third of the price...still it's mostly just chinese food (and it could have been so much more!). So for Animal Kingdom, I would say go with Flame Tree Barbeque or Y&Y take out.

Other suggestions already made I agree with.

Tigsmom,
Well...I guess there are some rides I can get on. You're right, there are a lot of things I can do aside from the rides, like photo taking - I love that. I'm just a little disappointed that I can't ride the roller coaster type rides, (especially since I've never ridden Expedition Everest) although when I think about the miracle I am carrying around...it's an even trade off. hehe Maybe next year.
Thanks.
P.S. I plan on doing POC and Small World. Those are die hard definites. Someone told me I could do the teacups, but don't spin the cup...duh...haha

Thank you everyone for your suggestions especially Master Yoda, now I have my list...haha
I forget that my family consists of some of the most picky eaters in America, so I'll probably be doing a lot of table service meals alone if I plan on eating anything other than burgers and fries. :)
P.S. One day...I am going to eat at Jiko. Be it alone or with a group of close minded food snobs. haha
Thanks again everyone.

I wouldn't do the tea cups, even if you didn't give it an "extra spin."

You are lucky to be 3 months pregnant and hungry. All I did was :hurl:

There will only be about 2 rides in each park you won't be able to go on so don't fret.

Much more than that...
Nemo, Flights and Lion King shows in AK
All rides in Fantasyland....Philharmagic
Laugh Floor and Buzz in Tomorrowland...you could do Stitch if you wanted....
Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Tiki Birds, Haunted Mansion! (that's a MUST)

Disney Studios is a bit light....Indy and Lights Motor shows

Epcot everything but MS, Maelstrom...and I guess Test Track.
Soarin would be no problem!

Also gives you the chance to enjoy the various bands and street performances. Catch an extra set or two of Off Kilter.

Not that eating around the world is a bad effort, you can do MUCH more.

Just for your info. If you have the Unofficial Guide to WDW there is a small section for expectant mothers that might be helpful.
