I just got reservations at the 7 month window for BCV. My home resorts are BWV and AKL. With everything I have read about the popularity and low amount of rooms at BCV I am in shock. I thought I would getting wait listed at best. Of course the reason I would like to stay at the BCV is Stormalong Bay. Many years ago (1997) my sons and I would walk around the lake to swim there, but they have since cracked down on that activity. So color me shocked, but happy.

Oh, man, didn't you hear? DVC members aren't allowed to use Stormalong Bay anymore, even if they're staying at Beach Club Villas...

Congrats!

I'm still shocked that we snagged a trade into a 1-bedroom at the BCV starting on the exact date we wanted through an RCI Exchange at about the 7-month mark. (We'd been on a waitlist for over a month, with an "autoconfirm" set for any of the non-OWK/SSR places).

Only drawback is that we deposited a 2-bedroom into the RCI system, but only got the 1-bedroom. But for a stay at the Beach Club, we'll take it! :)

Cool. In few days it will be the 7 month window for a vacation that I'd like to switch to BCV or Boardwalk.

Sweet! It is our home resort and I usually take advantage of the 11 mos. window but have had no luck if I book 7 mos or less. Glad it worked out!

Looks like you are going for Sept which is a relatively quiet time. I am going to try and book a 1br at beach club on Tuesday when my 7 month window opens up. I'm looking to go during the pin event in September, which usually sees the Epcot resorts fill up fairly quickly due to it's convenience with World Showplace.

Awesome, congrats! I was also pleasantly surprised when we were able to book BCV at 7 months for our upcoming trip in mid August. SAB in the summertime is going to be sweet!

I just made an 8 day Reservation there in late August with no trouble, on my first try, at the 7 month Window! Must be a convention is not there this time. 2 years ago there was a large convention at the beach and yacht.

congratualtions, I'm surprised you got into BCv via RCI, I hadnt heard fo anyone doing that, friends of mine were able to get SSR only via RCI, enjoy!

Successfully booked Boardwalk at the 7 month window this morning. Staying 5 nights on fewer points than my original 3 night reservation at home resort BLT. Sweet.

See y'all at the pin trade event :wave:

Im excited for you all. My home resort is BCV and we usually book at the 11 month window. But we just decided to go in Sept so we are past it but are going to try to get AKL at the 7 month window so I hope we share your luck.

From what i've read online, if you're patient enough, get the "Ongoing Search" going early enough and are flexible with dates, you can often snag something other than OKW or SSR. That's especially true if you're willing to take a Studio unit at BWV or BCV). Even with the ongoing search, I was keeping an eye on what was available every day, to get a feel for things if we had to compromise on our arrival dates. Didn't see any BLT units, and I think I only ever saw AKV once or twice.

A bunch of units just deposited into the RCI system. I happened to check the other day, and there were zero DVC unit available. Then last night there were 30+ units available spread between June and September. (Most being September) Most were Studio and 1BR, but there were a couple 2BR units at SSR.
