After hearing about the CM hour cuts to increase profit Incame to realize that Disney World really is only about the money. I'm tired of Disney World ruining and removing our favorite attractions and neglecting them to increase profit while jacking up the prices. It's a Disney themed institution that know people will be suckers and come to the park anyway. Disneyland... Here I come!!!!!!
Very coherent rant.

WDW has not lived up to its former standards. It's good to show your dissatisfaction with your wallet, the only argument they listen to. (And no, saying that DL is the same company misses the way TWDC operates).

You can widen your world, see what's out there. DL, DLP are great alternatives.

Haha umm good luck. I'll thank the CMs when I see them because I agree they don't get paid enough for the hardwork they do...just like I'll thank the person that hands me my food at McDonalds off property. It's a job. Disney is a company, a very powerful one. Anyone on earth will recognize Mickey Mouse. You realize by going to Disneyland you're still giving money to TWDC and it's all the same right? I'll always go to Disney unless it gets REALLY bad. I'll make the most of my vacation and not worry about the little things or my wallet (to some extent) while I'm there. Just being happy with family and friends and enjoying that time together is what is important. Do yourself a favor and do this too...life is too short to complain about the little things...

No it isn't.

Corporate politics. If Disneyland gets more profits, it gets recognition for it. Its executives get bigger bonuses, WDW's don't. It's like how I see some Disney movies, but don't watch Disney Channel. The movie division deserves my business, Disney Channel does not.

TDA and TDO are separate entities. As of right now, TDA has a substantially better product. TDO at least appeared to be improving (especially with George Kalogridis's return), but the hour cut is not a good sign.

Well, OP, if it makes you feel any better, I know exactly where you are coming from. As I said in another post yesterday, it's not about Disney making money. They're a business, and I don't begrudge them their profits. More to the point, I have happily handed over my hard earned money for many years. The real issue is the decline in products and services while increasing prices at a pretty alarming rate. Since the only language they speak is money, then you have to speak to them in a language they understand.

Also, visiting DL instead of WDW will effect WDW's bottom line which is what the OP wants to do.

And to that point, I believe that the article in question said that ALL of the parks in Orlando were looking at ways to cut costs. So it's not just WDW.

Yeah, it said ALL theme parks were looking for ways to cut costs (possibly by cutting employee hours). It didn't point fingers at WDW specifically.

I seem to have accidentally misunderstood the OP's point. I thought they were mad at the company, not WDW alone. I need to read clearer and for that, I apologize, OP.

OP, it's a good thing that you want to try something different. There's nothing wrong with trying other Disney alternatives. I hope you find what you're looking for, soon.

BTW, don't worry about those who've made a joke out of your post. At least you're willing to admit you're unhappy with the product and are strong enough to try something else.:)

Apology accepted, Disneyland looks like a great park and looks like its in the same direction Disney World used to be in. I like how they keep on improveing things and adding all these great attractions. I want to see DCA, Mr Toads Wild Ride again and the real Space Mountain. Now only of the Origional Main Street Electrical parade was theyre and it would be complete. I also hear from a friend of mine who is a pass holder that Disney World is but Disneyland is much nicer when it comes to the small datails in the park and the matenence LOL. And yes I am verry unhappy with theyre dumb play with the guests. I dont like the idea of scaling down attractions and matenece, reducing features in the parks and jacking up prices.

You will have a great time at Disneyland, but we've lost some classics as well. The Country Bears, the Carousel of Progress and the PeopleMover are no longer at Disneyland. There are a lot of us that miss the PeopleMover (not so much Carousel of Progress and the Country Bears). It sucks losing things you love in the parks, but it happens. There are things that make us Disneyland fans upset, too, and Disneyland is certainly not perfect, but I have to admit, the amount of things we complain about doesn't quite add up to the WDW complaints I hear here. Still, we're not completely happy with our parks, either.

Your friend is right, Disneyland is very detailed. I believe its small size sort of forces that. Everything is very close together, so it will make for a different experience for you. There will be new experiences, and that's good. I hope you have a great time and enjoy Walt's park. Make sure to admire Walt's light on Main Street after you leave. That symbolizes his forever presence at Disneyland.:)
