I went to Grad Nite last year and I must say it was very fun. Out of like 900, only about 120 went to Grad Nite last year. It was fun cause it was mostly a tight knit of friends going. We paid like 10 bucks more or something to get in two hours early and we all thought "well, big deal, I'm sure every other school paid the 10 bucks too". We we were wrong. Upon arriving, there was not one fly in the park. Not even CM's (except the ones greeting you and operating rides). We rode just about everything twice before finally settling down for food. Remember to get your food and a lot of people choose not to eat so if you're a fatty and like Caseys (thats where we ate, Hot Dogs..mm) ask for people's tickets. Some tips? I dont know any tips except dress comfortably and wear comfortable shoes but some things I thought were fun
-A lot of good rides are open. Philharmagic was empty yet all my friends ended up loving it.
-They turn the Libertybelle boat ride into a little dance boat. Lemme tell ya, it's fun!!! You will definitely meet a lot of people on it too if you want to meet people maybe even from your area.
-You can take pictures with characters in cap and gowns.
-They have foam !! A lot of people didn't go near it because "oh no" they got wet (uh weren't they all sweaty anyways by then?) but those who did were having a blast. It's fun picking it up and throwing it.
-I'm almost positive Yellowcard, Ashlee Lipsync and Ryan Cabrera have been confirmed to perform this year. I know Grad Bash is Taking back Sunday, My Chemical Romance and someone else... but yeah maybe someone can confirm it for you.
-You see the MK in a totally different way. The stages they set up, the lighting, even rap music in the Space Mountain queue is realy cool. totally different atmosphere.
Alot of my friends from another school went to Grad Bash and they hated it. I'm glad we didn't end up going. I'm not being biased or anything but they said that the park was way too small, it wasn't open all night like MK was, they closed down a lot of the good rides early in the night and it was just "eh". I kind of liked dressing up at Grad Nite cause it made it seem like more of a formal senior event. I hope you have fun and if you have any questions just ask! I have GN fresh in my mind. It was the best thing my school offered my senior year, probably because it was the only thing my school wasn't a part of
