I heard earlier on WTHR.com (an Indianapolis NBC station) that Coach Dungy and Rhodes (#33) will be at WDW tomorrow, the 6th, for a parade. I won't be there, I'll be here FREEZING in Indiana but whoever is there, please be good to them, they are the BEST! COLTS, SUPERBOWL CHAMPS!! :sohappy: :sohappy:

This year, they did have the commercial again, though in a somewhat dampened form. On ESPN (and I'm sure eventually ABC), you'll see commercials with Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy and running back Dominic Rhodes saying together "We're going to Disneyland/Disney World!" And yes, it was filmed just minutes after the Colts won.

I have still yet to see it on ABC; however, I saw it today around 5:00pm EST on the Disney Channel.

It is on Tv!!

Im watching CBS Monday and a few mins ago the commercial aired. Also at the end in the WDCT Promoton Logo the Colts helmet went up in the air!!! I was chearing for the Bears last night. What a game??

It's USUALLY the MVP. Not always. And often they'll take the star quarterback over the MVP, or a great story. That's why this is so weird. Manning's the star quarterback AND the MVP. They probably approached him and he turned them down.

As early as the second time they did the promotion, the quarterback (Joe Montana) did the commercial instead of the MVP (Jerry Rice). Trent Dilfer did it instead of the controversial Ray Lewis, too.

They probably figured he's in too many commercials already :). That was a big story they were covering over the two weeks leading up to the game, how he promotes a zillion products (well, more like a few), and how he's all over television, so maybe they wanted to get someone with less exposure.

Dungy, Rhodes Star in Disney Commercial
AP
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Hey, Tony Dungy, you just won the Super Bowl. What are you going to do now?

The answer, by now, might be a little obvious.

The Indianapolis Colts' coach and running back Dominic Rhodes became the latest sports celebrities to tell TV viewers they were "going to Disney World" after winning the Super Bowl on Sunday night.

Their announcement was recorded at Dolphin Stadium moments after the Colts' 29-17 Super Bowl victory over the Chicago Bears, Disney World officials said in a news release.

Dungy is the first black head coach to hoist the Super Bowl trophy. Rhodes rushed for a game-high 113 yards and scored a touchdown in the second quarter.

The famous commercials constitute one of television's most enduring advertising campaigns. The first ad featured New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms after the 1987 Super Bowl.

There is also a West Coast version of the commercial shot for those more familiar with Disneyland, which is located in California.

Dungy and Rhodes join an impressive lineup of athletes who have been featured in the campaign.

Tom Brady, Emmitt Smith, Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Joe Montana, John Elway, Jerry Rice, Troy Aikman, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Doug Williams, Magic Johnson, Patrick Roy and Hines Ward have all starred in the commercials for the Walt Disney Co. theme parks.

I saw the commercial on CBS during "How I met your Mother" this evening. I always love the "When you wish upon a star" beginning to these commericals.

I just saw the commercial on NBC and when they said Disneyland I wondered if we had a California version? Is there another version where they say Disneyworld?

Just curious!:)

Maybe they are going to Disneyland because they are on their way to the Pro Bowl? I haven't seen the commercial at all but I heard (with my back to the TV) Coach Dungy say, yes, he was going to WDW. I never heard him say Disneyland. I thought I heard him say Peyton was going too. Go Colts! :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:
