I just found out yesterday that I'm going to Disney World! I'm going with my boyfriend and his parents. We're going December 4th for five nights. I am so excited. The first and only time I've been was August of 2000. I didn't stay in a Disney hotel or go to Epcot. This time we're staying in All Star Music and doing everything! I have some questions I'd like to ask if any of you could answer for me.
Will the Christmas decorations be up when I go? I've always wanted to see that.
How are the crowds that time of year?
Is any attraction going to be closed during that time?
Thanks so much! I have the tingly, butterfly, I'm-going-to-DisneyWorld feeling in my stomach. It's so great!!!!! Ahhhh, I can't wait!! :sohappy:

Yay! You'll have an awesome time! The Christmas decoration should most definitely be up by then. And you'll also be down there during the wdwmagic meet, so maybe you can drop in on that!

Have an awesome time!

Congratulations on the surprise trip! Yes, all of the parks and resorts will be fully decorated for your stay. As far as I know, the crowds shouldn't be too bad, since many people are in school. As for attractions being closed and park hours, showtimes, etc., you'll want to check the calendar section of disneyworld.com. Have a great trip! :)

Have a good time. Yes, the decorations will be up, because i was there a few years back from nov. 28 - dec. 2, and they were up. Also, you picked a great time to go, the lines are great during early december.

That is so exciting! :sohappy: Have a great time!

I have not been there at that time of year, so I can't answer too many questions, but I can tell you that you'll be there for the Christmas decorations.

Take lots of pictures!

WOOHOO! Decorations will be up AND it will be a slower season! It's after Thanksgiving and well before Christmas... quite the perfect time.

It's a Small World, Wonders of Life (Body Wars, Making of Me, Cranium Command), Carousel of Progress, and Timekeeper will all probably be closed.

Don't miss all of the holiday fun! Check out the CANDLELIGHT PROCESSIONAL at Epcot!

Since you're only going to be there a short time, try to make it to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, too. You get to see the Magic Kingdom with smaller crowds and really good decorations. The Osborne lights will be back up in the Studios this year, too, which are really neat. And as Grizz said, the Candlelight Processional, and all of Epcot, are fantastic this time of year.

You chose the absolute BEST time of year to go!! As stated above, it's between Thanksgiving and Christmas. So you get the best of all worlds... You get the holiday decorations, most attractions will be up and running, the weather is typically beautiful and crowds are light. I've been three times at that time of year (the most recent was this past December...my birthday is December 5th...Same as Walt!!). Every time, we literally walked onto just about everything.

Be sure and check out the lobbies of the hotels while you are there. They are decorated as well. In particular, the Yacht and Beach Clubs and the Grand Floridian are absolutely beautiful at Christmas.

I've stayed at All Star Music a few times. It is my favorite of the All Star Resorts. I like it because you get all the perks of staying on property, but you don't pay the high prices. Plus if it's just you and your boyfriend, the rooms are perfect size. If possible, stay in the Calypso section. It is close to the food court and the main lobby. It also has the coolest swimming pool (shaped like a guitar).

Have fun!! I'm jealous!!

Thanks everyone!!!! I'm glad it's going to be all decorated for Christmas. I'll definitely be taking a million pictures! My boyfriend has been 6 times and he's acting like a little kid still. lol. He's really excited. We both are. We've been on this site looking at everything and seeing what we're going to be doing. It's our favorite place in the world to go. His mom was saying we're going to disney world or a cruise. My boyfriend said, "DISNEY WORLD!! Are you crazy?" lol. So the next day she made our reservations. When they put her on hold, 'zip a dee do dah' was playing. She was going to hold it to my bf's ear while he was sleeping to let him know we were going! lol.
Thanks again for all the replies. Y'all are great. :)

Why not do both....the Disney Cruise ;)

That's what I always say lol. I think we're doing the Disney Cruise for our honeymoon :sohappy: It's the best of both worlds.

WDWMagic meet sounds awesome. I'll have to let my man know about it. Thanks for mentioning it!
