Welp, its been all of six weeks and I'm getting that " I need to plan a trip to Disney!" feeling again! And I've already been this year! I wasn't planning on going again in 2013! Oi!! What do I do!!!! I starting thinking of planning one for next year but with all the personal stuff going on, I have no idea where and what we will be doing next year. Friends are leaving Sunday for their trip and that isn't helping things! :)

So...how do you get over this feeling???

I think you should become a Disney vacation planner....then you could money doing what you love and maybe helping other people's dreams come true will help scratch your itch between your own trips to the world...your enthusiasm is contagious.
With that said...I dont know that there is a cure. We havent even been on our first trip yet and already I am looking at a 2015 return trip!

I would love to do that!!! But I stumble over how. I live in DC but I do do it for my friends for free. :) When is your first trip planned? Its going to be amazing!!!!

Just an update - the feeling has NOT gone away and has now gotten to the point where i'm pretty sure I'm going to book something tonight so I can make 180 day out ADR's for an October trip. Oh Good Grief!
I am feeling the same way as you. Just went in February and the itch to go back started almost instantly when I got home. So bad lately that I am trying to figure a few things out so I can make a trip happen. I will probably book in the next couple weeks or just do my Adrs. I don't know what to do.

Just keep planning, planning, planning....

We went last November and I have trips planned for September and October of this year...now I'm considering March 2014.

My DH is surprised about how much 'we' have learned from this forum. Reading and participating on here has been a big help too.

The only way to get over it (if you truly want to - I find myself saying I want to, but actually having no desire to let go of the addiction to WDW) is to find something else to occupy your mind. Start taking tennis lessons or start a workout regimen or start a book club with your friends. Do something else that makes your mind focus on accomplishing other goals. I started a book club to distract myself from WDW. You probably didn't notice, but I was MIA on these boards for like 2 months because of that. I'm back now, so it's not like I really got over it. But, it helps to give yourself something else to do instead of getting on here and being envious of person after person who leaves for WDW while you're stuck at home not knowing when you'll get there again.

I run my own small business, so sometimes I am so imersed in work that it is hard to think about it. Then with the kids and coaching my son's team I am pretty busy. We were supposed to go at the end of May or beginning of June before the seasonal blackouts but that won't happen. We have planned for the weekend that the blackout is lifted. I just booked the hotel and it will one of my son's birthday. The good thing about being so busy is when I log in and see several days are gone from the countdown. It helps to deal with the waiting.

Yes, but there in lies the rub. I'm going through something so totally time consuming right now...and the feeling still haunts me. :)

I made a deal with myself..I have 1 month to come up with half the money. If I can do it watching my spending but still paying everything then I will book...I have to force myself to behave......when it comes to Disney I would go Disney poor because I would be there every few months.

Hee hee I hear ya! :)

For a while, Disney had plans to develop National Harbour in MD and make it DVC which I happen to be able to see from my apartment in Alexandria, VA. And I was SO excited bc when I lived on HHI, when I needed a fix, I would just go to the gift shop at the HHI DVC. But they sold it. And now no DVC here. :( I'm still not quite over that one. :)

Hilton Head still has DVC there.
