I'm back! Trip report Sept 21-26th (My first report)

Well this is my first time ever attmepting a trip report. It may take me awhile and I have NO idea how to upload photos onto the forum so bear with me.
Here is the background:
I just finished nursing school and my husband just finished a year and 2 months of work TWO full time jobs (80 hours a week) so that I could go to school, take care of our kids and not have to end up worrying about working. SO we decided after all that time of seeing each other an avergae of 2 hours a week that we needed (and deserved!) a solo vacation to WDW. So even though we felt extremely guilty we left the kids home with Nana and off we went.
We stayed at Pop Century. I have always stayed at either the All Stars or Caribbean Beach but this time we decided to try Pop. So here goes....

September 21st Day One-Arrival Day

This technically wasnt a full day since we didn't leave the airport at home until 8:20pm. I like to travel the night before so that we get in a full day the next day and have time to rest prior to starting a day at the parks. Plus we can either work (or in my case sleep because I work nights) and get the kids and dogs settled before departure. So we headed to the airport around 6ish, parked the car and headed for the terminal. We flew Southwest because it was the cheapest and I wasn't disappointed. I like Southwest anyhow, I know a lot of people don't but for me it works out. Anyway the flight was great and was in right on time. Even though it was a late flight (against my better judgement) I put on the ME tags. ME picked us up and got us to POP no problem. I thought POP was very cool looking however everything was shut down by the time we got to the propert because of the late flight. I waited about 3 minutes and line and got our keys. Then we went to our room and crashed. We slept so soundly that we didn't even hear ME knocking on the door at 2am.
Next day MK...

Day TWO Magic Kingdom

We set our alarm to wake up at 6am because we had very early (7:55am) breakfast ressies. I woke in a panic..our luggage wasn't in our room. Luckily DH realized that we had a blinking light on our phone which was a voice mail from Magic Express letting us know they knocked on the door around 2am and we didn't answer. He called them and they had our luggage in our room in 15 minutes. To back up a little, I forgot to mention that when we checked into POP they gave us the 50's section and gave us a handicapped accessible room. We did not ask for one but we didn't complain because it was one king size bed. The room also had a fridge that we didn't ask for and a ginourmous shower. Now the shower was nice however when you took a shower water went everywhere..so we had to use almost all the towels we had to sop up the mess. But thats ok...

Anyway as I said we had breakfast ressies at 7:50 am at Ohana's. We walked out to the buses and there were 4 other people in line waiting for the MK bus. A man with a walkie asked us where we were going, we told him Ohana's a bus pulled up and we got on. He then proceeded to tell us that the bus would be dropping us off at the hotels we were going to (one family was going to GF and the other Contemporary). I was very surprised, I had anticipated taking the monorail from the MK. I don't know if this is something they usually do this early in the morning but it was really nice. We were the first drop off.
I have never eaten at Ohanas but everything else was booked up when I made reservations 2 months earlier. I absolutely loved it. We had a very nice waitress named Jill. The characters were adorable in their Hawaiian get-ups. The food was delicious especially the pineapple bread.

Ok I am attempting to put in pics and I can't figure it out...anyone know how to do it?

So I found a way to post it but I can't figure out how to continue to post after it...oh well, I guess I can edit it later with photos.

Anyway, back to Ohanas...thats us in the above photo (duh!) we took several other pictures with the characters also. After breakfast we headed off to MK. I have gone a few times in September but I have never been for the fall decorations. They were so beautiful, I was in awe the first half hour I was there. It was so nice!
We headed for tomorrowland and did MILF first. I was impressed, I thought it was a pretty funny show and they used my husbands joke and said his name so he was pretty excited. Then we were off to AE, Buzz, TTA, then Space Mountain. The waits in tomorrowland were small, 5 minutes for everything but Space which was posted as a 20 minute wait but really was about 10. Fantasyland was a different story...Pooh was 30 minutes, Snow White 20, and Peter Pan was 60 min. Even Small World had a 20 minute wait..I have never seen a wait on this ride. Anyhow we FP'ed Peter Pan while waiting to Snow White, Pooh and Philharmagic (5 minute wait). After Fantasyland we headed straight to HM (20 min wait). I loved the new stuff. The staircases were amazing and the refurb of the stretching room and audio was fantastic. I absolutely loved the attic. I wasn't too crazy about the bride but it was better then it was. The beheaded husband pictures did not seem to be working correctly. But the attic itself was awesome. After HM we did the Tiki Room, I have never been to the Tiki room in all my visits to WDW so we decided to try it. I thought it was pretty cute. Back to Fantasyland we went to go on Peter Pan and then back to Splash Mountain, and BTMR, we FP'ed Splash and waited for BTMR which was about a 20 min wait. By this time it was dinner time, we ate at Cosmic Rays. For some reason I love it there, the food isn't anything special but we ate there right after my husband proposed to me in front of the castle and I have always wanted to go there everytime we go. After Cosmic Rays we went to grab a seat for Spectromagic.

.....time to make dinner...I will be back!

I apologize immensely for my delay in the trip report...I had some family issues I had to deal with and this is the first chance I have had to return to WDWmagic.com...
Now where did I leave off....
Spectomagic..so we leave Cosmic Rays and get our spot for Spectromagic. I like a seat directly in front of the castle. I have a very type A personality and for some reason I just cannot watch Spectro or Wishes unless I am directly in front of the castle. So we sat at 7pm waiting for the 8pm Spectro. All was well, my husband and i had no problem with waiting that long (as you all with children know...when you are FINALLY alone you have tons to talk about) so we sat and chatted and waited for the parade. It was raining and I wasn't happy about it but I was in Disney so I totally didn't care. So it was about ten minutes to parade time and here comes this family with about 4 kids. They were from a different country and did not seem to know much English, anyhow there was about a one person space between me and the person to my left. In that space I had placed my bag with some stuff I bought earlier in the day...now there was literally room for ONE person IF THAT. This woman comes up and moves my bag out of the way....I say "Um excuse me..." she gives me this look and moves away. Next thing I know one of the kids steps on my bag and then kicks it out of the way....I once again say "Excuse me". Now I have kids and I have no problem giving a seat next to me for a child but where are the manners????? Anyhow next thing I know in the the ONE person space between me and the person to my left is 4 kids. One was practically on my lap. One of the mother's feet were literally up my rear end. I politely looked back and said (again) "Excuse me" and she said something to her family in her language. I am not a petty person...however my husband and I got a seat one whole hour before the parade....I just don't get how people think they can come and get a seat 10 minutes before the parade and inconvenience someone else...I know that is a hot topic here on the boards so I am just going to leave it as I was not happy but quickly forgot my displeasure once the parade started. During Spectro it started to pour....so much so that I did not think that Wishes was going to happen. But it did happen and it was amazing. Just like it always is. After Wishes the park was still open another hour so we went back and hit Space Mountain which was a 30 minute wait. We waited in line with a man behind us who had never ridden SM. He was hilarious...he was scared to death so it was an entertaining wait. Now I don't know if I am just getting old (haha) or if the ride seemed a bit bumpy but it was really bumpy this time....we did TTA and then made our way down Main Street USA browsing through the shops. By the time we got to the bus stop we got right on a POP bus and back to the hotel. We stopped and got a huge bottle of water , very excited that we had a fridge in our room....and thats it. We called it a night. Next day EPCOT..
I will do my best to post Epcot in a timely manner...things are tough these days...thanks for being patient....

Sorry to hear about the rude people, at least it didn't ruin the parade (although it doesn't sound like the rain could've done that)!

And no, you're not getting old, Space is incredibly bumpy.
