But I will anyway.

I have cases upon cases of 5x7 inch card stock that I use for my business. So I thought I'd put some of it to good use and I made up cute little itinerary cards to bring to Disney with me. So now I want to share my masterpiece that I've been working on for 6 months - my Disney itinerary for September LOL.

Feel free to give any suggestions! (And just so you know, I don't plan to be rigid with the schedule, it will just be used as a guideline! The fun in Disney is being spontaneous and flexible!)

I love it!!!! I did the Excel thing last year and was preparing to do the same thing. Do you have a template you use? It is absolutely wonderful!!! I still have 5 months until our next trip so I guess I will have to think about spicing mine up.

Wow! Now, that is organized! I think part of the fun and anticipation is doing all that planning. Love all the pictures incorporated.

Just an FYI--the petting Zoo is no longer at FW. When we asked about it last week, we were told it was because of all the recent out breaks of illnesses at petting soos in FL.

Have a great trip!!

Very nice job. My wife gets all crazy with planning with Excel spreadsheets for what park and what places to eat for the day with all of the pricing, etc. She also has alternatives with prices as well. She sent me one the other day that was beyond confusing to me. I told her that if for some reason she was unable to go one day, me and my daughter would not know what to do because their were no pie charts or flow charts...

Have fun and say hi to the Coopers..... :animwink:

OMG, Laura! You MUST be my long-lost sister or something! I thought I was the only one who planned like that. My family thinks I'm nuts! Those cards should make your trip much more enjoyable. I love them. They are great.

Thanks everyone! I thought you would all I think I was a major DORK! (It's ok if Gary thinks I'm a dork - he's 40 so it doesn't count).

Let me try to answer all the questions...

How does your husband feel about it?
Drives him insane. I actually haven't showed these cards to him yet, I'm afraid he'll send me to a mental institution!

No Fantasmic?
Well, Fantasmic is not much fun with 2 squirmy toddlers. Last July we tried it using the dinner package, and even though we only had to wait 20 minutes for the show - it was 20 minutes too long for our kids to sit still. I mean it was a horrible experience. They were both screaming bloody murder because they didn't want to sit there, and ended up crying themselves to sleep by the time the show started! So we're putting off Fantasmic for a few years LOL.

where did you get all pictures if I might ask?
Google image search and yahoo image search. Probably most of them are copyrighted so shhhhh. LOL

I'm just curious as to what program you used to make the notecards?
Photoshop.

NO WAY!!! WHAT A BUMMER!!! I was really looking forward to that! Drats. Maybe we'll do pony rides instead??

Nope not really. I just roughly pasted all the images around plain old typed text in photoshop. I mean it was ridiculously easy - just time consuming because there were 10 of them to make!

I hope I got everyone!

Umm, are you my long lost sister....:lookaroun Seriously, I am not that detailed, but I have a planner specifically for my WDW trips that get started at least a year in advance- I write everything in Pencil and then change it if needed- I take the planner with me into all the parks (it's not a huge planner and worth bringing because it has all my PS and tickets in it...)

I thought I was the only one who planned so much! :D You did a great job!!

I thought this was totally wonderful. Last year I printed and laminated cards for each day so we knew our confirmation #s and what time fireworks or parades were. My husband thought I was nuts until he realized it got us to where we needed to be on time. I didn't list what rides, just hour ranges for which park, nap, travel, etc. It worked great.

I showed this to my husband and he gave me a look...well, guess he will just have to learn the easy way when I hand them to him again this year. :animwink:

I might have to dust off my Photoshop skills. Haven't used it in several years since I got out of graphic development at my company.

looks like that was a ton of work to make.. but pretty awesome though..

my only thing, this is for me personally, dont take this as an insult, but what happened to be being spontaneous and just doing things for heck of it? for me its too overplanned.. im more of a go to the park and let just what ever happens happen..

We like to have sit down meals as often as possible. The more sit down meals you have the more you need to plan ahead. The more you plan ahead the less time you'll waste driving all over the place. Also as I said earlier, this "schedule" is only a guideline to help me remember which park to be in each day (for my priority seatings and for meeting up with my friend), I don't plan to stick to it minute by minute!

My family will be there the exact same time. I am doing the same thing right now and I have been to Disney 130+ times in my life but it always makes me feel better to plan ahead and then totally let go when we are there.

We tried the nap thing too last time and no one slept but Grandpa. LOL. Stroller is much better! Find a nice quite tree to sit under or outside a gift shop with the air conditioning blowing. Under the entrance to Pirates is a good spot too.
