Hey, if they were going to put in an aircraft carrier like they are at DCA with the kind of technology they've lined up for World of Color, I could care less if there was a giant empty hole in World Showcase for a year or more.

I seem to remember hearing 12-14 feet is the average depth, but I'm not sure. Either way, there's too much water to effectively drain WSL, not to mention it would be an aesthetic nightmare for goodness knows how long. :dazzle:

ONLY 12-14 feet? I always was under the impression it was at least 17 feet or more deeper!

I don't know for sure, but thats the number I remember. Generally, the waterways in the resort are around the 14 foot mark.

...They may just upgrade in the future with effects that really work well during the World of Color show.

They did something kinda like it during C25 and the special tags. More little flame "puffs" than whips, but still... :shrug:

Have you seen the flame ships they are using for World of color.. I watched that press event video linked back a few posts and showed one tested... looks cool, like an inferno barge blew all it's flame up and moved while doing it.

Watch the C25 Tag again...I've heard tell that a LOT of the show was experimental and new pyro to be used in future shows.

I know, I saw that. Pretty cool looking device! Its like one of the nozzles on the Inferno Barge got a sugar rush or something. :lol:

Yes, sir. It was in World Showcase Plaza, I perched myself right up against the railing dead center. There were maybe two or three other people there. It was like having a special, private moment with my beloved EPCOT to celebrate her birthday.

It is from the 'Suite of Dreams - Discovery' off of the Magic in the Streets CD made for the 100 Years of Magic Celebration. I believe the 25th Tag was the first time the music was actually used in the park in any meaningful fashion.
