From nikkifinke.com:

... "So it’s between Tom Staggs, the Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, and Jay Rasulo, the Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Walt Disney Co. .... Tom’s the pretty boy. Rasulo’s kinda troll-like.”

CEOs need to have nice hair, bare minimum.

And big doe eyes

I really don't know which of those two guys I dislike less. But this will be an interesting conversation!

My bet is Jay. He deals with all aspects of the company not just parks.
Further down in the article it says:

"Jay knows how to talk to Wall Street. But Disney loves their leaders fit and healthy. It’s also part of that company’s lore that Michael Eisner plucked Bob Iger from obscurity because he looked good in a speedo."

:-( I was really hoping for John Lasseter to take over. I really hope he does someday. He reminds me of Walt so much. I think he would do an amazing job.
Iger has the opportunity to rank second best CEO in the company's history and make it extremely difficult for anyone else to do better. Right now it has to be between him and Eisner. He has improved every Division especially the Parks. Shanghai Disney will in a few years be the most attended theme park in the World. It was a huge investment but will pay off big time. He now has to finish his last and greatest achievement and that is to build the 3rd gate at Disney Land and expand and renovate Epcot and DHS. Then if he really wants to leave a legacy do the 2nd expansion at AK and build the 5th gate. If he does all that then it will be next to impossible for someone else to pass him. But no matter what he does there will only we be one Walt.

I was just saying last night how all has gone quiet on the John Lasseter front... I don't think he has much going on with Disney these days.

Everyone is rooting for Tom.... Nothing of much good has come of his time at DisNey Parks. Is it really a case of better the devil you know? If I had to choose between Jay, Tom and a newbie, I'll gamble on the newbie. From a parks PoV we can't be much worse off?

Personally I think the company needs someone with more of a media background... Not a bean counter or parks person - as nice as that would be for us park fans... Remember Disney is primarily a media company these days!

This. An outsider couldn't be much worse for the parks. The worst we could get is someone who doesn't care about the parks business except as a revenue source (i.e., someone with the same attitude as current management).
