I just read a story at drudgereport.com and would like to know if Iger would be better than Eisner?

Eh... I think the company needs someone with more creativity. Someone who can see beyond dollars and cents. They need a visionary!

I read somewhere that Iger is practicly Eisner's right hand man, if this is true I dont think it will make much of a diffrence.

My personal opinion is that they get some one freash with an imagination and the heart of a kid.

The way I hear it Steve Jobs is making a bid for Disney CEO.
Actually, I'm pretty sure Jobs openly stated he WOULDN'T like to be Disney's CEO. He just wants Eisner out. I'd rather see someone fresh and new. Iger is a logical pick, but not necessarily the best. Although, if they had Iger in that position and someone creative as the new COO, that might work well--kinda like a Walt/Roy matchup. Having a businessman near the top is by no means a bad thing (it is, in fact, necessary), but I'd like one of those two positions to be filled with someone more like Matt Ouimet.

Jobs would be perfect as CEO. I mean look. He started both Apple and Pixar and look how good both are doing. Infact, Jobs is the man second to Walt himself. There is nobody on Earth who could do a better job than Jobs. At least that is what I think.

Sorry, but Jobs has great ideas but is as closed minded and self centered as Eisner on a bad day. He had the best system in Apple and refused to share compatibility information opening the door for Microsoft and about killing Apple. Read current articles about how he is doing the same thing with IPod. Pixar has had a great run, but do you see anyone jumping in to replace Disney? They are afraid to deal with Jobs.

Iger on the other hand has Eisner's propensity to focus on stock bottom line. There is no imagination and dream in his approach.

On to choice 3....someday our prince (or princess) will come....

Iger would be worse than Eisner if you can imagine that. At least Eisner knew how to do the right thing in the past, jsut that he is not following that mantra to this day. Iger has no clue about anything except saying "Yes Mike" & "would you like cream and sugar with that?"

Well I have it on good authority from and undisclosed source that the mission space ladder is about to take up the post. :lookaroun

The bus driver that told me, said that Mr Ladder (as he is more comonly known by those in the know) told him while approving plans for the new monorail expansion that will take guests to the new harry potter themed land in MGM... :hammer:

A bit of sarcasm on a friday never hurt anyone...

Bob Iger?? :hurl: Just another suit thank you very much. Had too many of those. What we really need is a CEO who is still a kid and actually looks at Disney as more than something to make money. Someone with a playful creative streak who can see the forest for the trees.

Well I doubt it... Jobs is too money eager as well.
