If you were homeless....

would you attempt to live in the parks? And if so how would you do it?
I was thinking the other day that if I was homeless I certainly wouldn't live in the frigid streets of Pittsburgh....I'd head to Disney and sneak in and never leave the Disney system. I'd come up with all manner of ingenious ways of sneaking into each park. Not sure where I'd live though. There would be so many hiding spots, especially if you just needed a place to sleep. Somewhere in Ft. Wilderness would be pretty ideal, you could raid picinic baskets from the campers for food and hide in any number of spots. Maybe you could even get a CM custodial outfit somehow and just blend in as a CM.

What also helps with a scenario like this is that resorts like the all-stars have lax security, you can get through the gate without real proof that you are staying there. That helps if you ever need a free shower, since they have showers in the bathrooms by the pools with, I think, at least some form of in-shower soap dispenser, so you'd at least be able to keep clean.

I think there are more security cameras at WDW than in Vegas & AC combined. A homeless person wouldn't last very long unless maybe, MAYBE you were living in the actual untouched wetlands, with the ability to walk into the grounds looking like you're not homeless but just wandered off a path. Let us know how it works out for you.

Odds are, if you were clever enough to avoid Disney security and "squat" on resort. You would also be clever enough to land a job and not be homeless. :ROFLOL:

In the spirit of fun, I would try and live in Epcot somewhere, lots of food around there. And beer. Don't forget the beer.

What about living in it's a small world and systematically collecting the change on a nightly basis. After a week you'd probably have enough to get a 2BR DVC at BLT!!! They do turn off the music at night, don't they?

This thought has often crossed my mind too. I would probably pick the Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom. Anywhere where there was kids so they could drop food for me. I could also scam change out of any fountains or like in the Everest line some people flip change in that one area by the bells.

You could always start to scam or get parts of a CM outfit and just blend in. Once you are in, there is literally free food everywhere (for a homeless person). Shower off at any of the resort pools.

I would do what ever possible to hideout in Tower of Terror. Sleeping there as a homeless person would be the coolest.

The beaches at the Contemporary, the Poly or Grand Floridian would be perfect places to sleep! But then again...I don't know if they would let you sleep on the beach or not if they saw you...hmm. Maybe find a spot on the beach out of sight!

I have always wondered this. I could live in any of the parks. MK you could live on TOm Sawyer island lots of secluded trees and areas. In AK you could probably live anywhere as there are lots of trees and dark areas. In DHS you could live in either Tower of Terror or in Indiana Jones. And in Epcot you could live in Italy there is a balcony and a couple rooms to your left as you walk into the main area that many people dont notice. Or just live in River Country.

IF you can steal an active room key, since they are needed to access the shower building.

Hmm, maybe this is why I see so many homeless downtown....failed attempts to live at Disney.

I'm guessing you're not a Vegas regular Slappy.

I'd wager there's a few hotel/casinos there that have more security cameras by themselves than the whole of Disney World.

This thread got me thinking.
Disney World must be one of the only places anywhere that you won't find panhandlers.
Although I'm sure it's happened. (Maybe at Downtown Disney?)

Any panhandler would be swiftly removed by security or police. Everything in Disney is private, so they can make anyone leave if they so choose.

I would find my way into Wonders of Life at EPCOT and live inside Cranium Command or the VIP room there. I would imagine that nobody goes into the Cranium Command theatre, so in theory, it would be the perfect hiding place.

This thread is so funny. I wonder if anyone would ever try to do this as legally as possible. For instance get an AP and do it for 1 year. You could enter whatever park opens earliest each day then hop over to which one is closing latest and stay there. With EMH hours that could run VERY late at times....we exited MK at 4am last trip. Then you could probably ride around on a bus for a while....hitting a resort shower to clean up for the next day. Maybe snooze a few hours in a lobby or by a pool/beach then back to the parks you go.

It could be done. :lol::lol:

The hard part would be traveling around property, since the buses don't run 24 hours a day, and they probably don't take kindly to people walking along WDW roads.
