If you had Wings

anyone else remember this? I still remember it was one of those rides back when there were ride tickets and this ride needed no ticket. Then another time I was on it and it stopped and we were right at the end and it kept repeating "But you do have wings. You can do all these things. eastern, we'll be your wings"

and the guy directing the traffic and flamingos, the people dancing on the waterfalls, the optical illusion that you were going fast on the runway, racetrack, etc...

what else?

That was a fun ride. Still miss it.

I remember a big pop-up book with paris....and moscow I think....

That`s Dreamflight / Take Flight - the revamped version of IYHW that opened in 1989. The pop up book of New York & London was at the rides end.

BTW; look for `IfYouHadWings & Dreamflight by martin` as dolby said at Disney Central ;)

Martin, is there a good instruction write up for Disney Central. Like what software (free hopefully) is needed, how to set up and access it?

I tried about a year ago and had no luck.

Thanks,
Mike

Yep - in this very forum (digital media) - the `what is Disney Central and how to use it` thread. Or something like that! mIRC is free to use too. Thats the way we like it; no charges.

Thanks Martin. I will give it another shot. I hear of all the cool stuff up there and feel I am missing the boat....

OMG-I loved that attraction!!!

I still have the song in my head--"If you had wings, had wings, had wings".It was sponsored by Eastern Airlines. If im not mistaken you were actually able to book flights at the info booth in the attraction.I had an uncle that was a pilot for Eastern-used to fly the airline free from Miami to New York all the time and when I flew I always thought of the attraction at WDW.
