Mary Poppins by a nose (race scene refference) that movie had so much going for it and it deserves it's own ride!! That being said Alice deserves more than tea cups!

There are so many options and so many ways you could make a number of these good. I mean, I think Pinocchio has some aspects that would lend itself to a good dark ride, I would love to see a "decent" animatronic Maleficent in dragon form in a Sleeping Beauty ride and Mary Poppins could be EPIC (like PotC level) if they really invested in the good animatronics and inconic scenes, but Alice in Wonderland feels like the most natural choice. The move is just so colorful and disjointed in places like a dark ride that it seems almost like it was designed for one. Of course, maybe some of it is lowered expectations...i.e. what I envision for Alice seems more likely than the grand scale attraction Mary Poppins deserves.

Difficult choice. :)

I think Cinderella would have a lot of potential to be a very "magical" dark ride. Lots of possible transformation effects (Pepper's Ghost?), wonderful music, some of the most memorable scenes of any Disney movie. Not to mention a very strong existing connection to the Magic Kingdom. In terms of feasibility this one may be a winner; I feel like Disney could pull this ride off with the technology found in the older Fantasyland rides.

Sleeping Beauty could be one of the most visually beautiful dark rides ever made. To ride through a three-dimensional realization of Eyvind Earle's artwork could potentially be one of the most stunning visual experiences ever placed along a ride path. Some great music too, including the often-overlooked Sleeping Beauty, Sleep On. Not to mention the possibilities for a huge AA dragon and pyro effects. :)

Beauty & the Beast has potential to have huge audience appeal given its more recent release. Also, so many of the characters are household items, there's great potential for a highly realistic dark ride with AAs that look dead-on like characters from the movie (whereas Sleeping Beauty would have to be more stylized). A projection-mapping castle transformation could be very cool. This movie would probably need something closer to Mermaid in terms of scale; I'm not sure Peter Pan-style could quite pull this one off.

Surprised at all the votes for Alice in Wonderland. Considering we'd have the choice for ANYTHING, I'd much prefer to see Disney try a dark ride with all new technology and based on a movie they've never used before, vs an existing ride from 1958 you can see right now.

EDIT: Also surprised to see that all three of my choices have the lowest votes of any of the poll options. Oh well, them's the breaks.

Of the choices listed, I think Mary Poppins would make for a great dark ride, using all kinds of different technology.

But I think out of all existing animated films, Robin Hood would be a great classic dark ride, as would Lion king

Personally, I would love to see a Hercules dark ride. Begin by riding up into the heavens, with a small drop down to earth when he's turned sort of human. I remember I made a concept art for it when I was younger! haha

I voted for Alice, but it was a tough call between that and Pinocchio. I would like a Mary Poppins something, but I couldn't decide if it was a dark ride that I wanted or a show a la BatB. Something this question did make me wonder: Am I missing something or is there no Cinderella in the parks besides the castle?

I voted for Pinnochio, but it was a tough call. I think that Disney should use more classic movies in the parks since young and old can appreciate and enjoy it. The classic movies are what made Disney and there are a TON of movies that aren't in the parks yet that would make awesome rides. I think Hercules, Lion King and Sleeping Beauty would make awesome coasters. Pocahantas would be a good boat ride. Mary Poppins could use carousel horses as vehicles, kinda like the ET ride at Uni and you could fly over the scenes. 101 Dalmations, Fox & Hound, Robin Hood, Lady & the Tramp, Pinnochio, Alice in Wonderland would make good dark rides.
