Wilderness Lodge for the atmosphere and quick hop to the MK (our favorite)
Polynesian for the atmosphere and monorail (and food :slurp: )
The Boardwalk Inn for the proximity to Epcot.

Welcome aboard!

Well, first we stayed at Wilderness Lodge and said "we love this place; we're never staying anywhere else!"
Then, to fulfill a childhood dream, we stayed at the Poly. We said, "we love this place; we're never staying anywhere else!"
For our upcoming XMas trip, we're staying at the Beach Club. Stay tuned....

I have only stayed at the Beach Club. I loved it! The pool is awesome and I love that you can walk to Epcot, the boardwalk or take a boat to MGM.

Wilderness Lodge !!! I've only been able to stay there for a few nights because of the cost but it's my favorite resort. It's just so well done with themeing and making you really feel like you're somewhere else. And the "WOW" factor is pretty high when you walk around and look.

AKL. We stayed there exactly a year ago from this week. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to stay there again!

Boardwalk is another one we really liked. The closeness to Epcot is great, especially if you spend most of your time there like we do.

#1 Polynesian (location, atmosphere, room size, decor)
#2 Wilderness Lodge (location, atmosphere, price) room decor has suffered here since the remodel though
#3 Yacht Club/Beach Club/BoardWalk (location)
#4 Animal Kingdom Lodge (atmosphere)

The Contemporary gets an honorable mention for its location. The Grand Floridian (yuck) is too uppity an atmosphere for me, not to mention way too expensive.

I never stayed at the Polynesian, I always wanted the stay there.

Ah, I had that dream once too! My first visit to WDW (staying *cough* off-site) and going by the Polynesian on the ferry boat. It was at the end of the day, the sun was just setting over the Polynesian giving an orange glow and I saw people on their balcony and beach relaxing. I told myself I would stay there someday. All these years later and I have thankfully been able to many, many times.

Keep your dreams alive!!!

I've always wanted to stay at the Contemporary because of its location, the fact that it is one of the original resorts, and because its design is intriguing to me.

id stay at any of the three in the epcot/mgm area.

1.boardwalk
2. yacht
3. beach

we absolutely love the boardwalk (so much so we're dvc members there). the food, fun walking around the boardwalk at night (after 9 when most of the parks are closed theres not much to do, esp. if you dont want to go to the awful thug filled pleasure island), and especially the proximity to mgm and epcot are worth the price alone.

unless youre morbidly obese, which you might be since this is america, the walk to mgm is very very doable, and downright relaxing/enjoyable. epcot is a no brainer, literally a few hundred yards away (ive always wondered why perfectly able bodied people choose to waste their time on the boat to epcot, i mean, how lazy can you be?)

so in otherwords, epcot resorts are the way to go!

ok this is a no brainer lol! boardwalk or beach club. boardwalk has some of the best atmosphere around and you can walk to epcot or mgm....and Beach Club because it is sooo relaxing and has the BEST BEST BEST pool of any resort....sand bottom and a miniature lazy river. Enjoy whereever you choose...:D

Polynesian or Comtemperory Tower if money was no option. But really I think Wilderness and Animal Kingdom Lodge are my two favorite deluxe resorts.

I honestly love each and every one. It's kind of like picking which child I love best, but I would have to say in this order-

1.) Beach Club- love the pool, the clam shape chairs just outside of Cape May Cafe, and the proximity to EPCOT and Disney's Boardwalk.

2.) Animal Kingdom Lodge- I only don't like the distant location, otherwise it is wonderful

3.) Wilderness Lodge- perfectly themed

4.) The Contemporary- I've wanted to stay there since I first visited WDW in JUL76

5.) The Polynesian- great food, location, and the monorail

I've always wanted to stay at the Contemporary also, but never had the extra cash. It's ok by me. The Pop is my second home. haha.

But If I could, it would be nice to stay at the Contemporary a few nights.
